IRM, here I come. Only thing I wish were avail from the factory was a barrel length option. Don’t mind paying $3k but a choice between a 10, 16, or 18-inch barrel would be a nice touch. Either way, thrilled this is happening.

I think I’m 611 or close. I’m going to pass. I’ll be playing with the briefcase that Concorde is making for me. Get me a suit and a tie. People be calling me sir. From ‘oh brother where art thou’.
Maybe I missed this, but what barrel length comes with the upper? I'm hoping it's in the 10" range, but the nice part is that it's cheap to change it out an can be done with normal tools at home. Also, the IRM seems like it should be the only available option. I must be missing something. Who would want to drill a hole and make switching back to 9mm difficult if there was no downside to the IRM version? I think we'll find out more when the patent is finalized and we can really see how it works.

I don't understand your logic. The IRM is more involved to install and remove. Not by much though. Their is no disadvantage to having the hole in the receiver. It effects nothing

Length of pull is important to me after using the SABRE for years, and so getting the IRM is a no brainer for me. I'm a tiny guy and holding the SABRE with the stock even in the smallest position is a pain.
I'm number 40 and having seen and test fired both versions, I'll first get the exterior buffer first and drill that hole! I like the flexibility the exterior buffer offers and how easy it was to shoot. But THEN I plan to get back in line so I can get an IRM version too because that video of the MAX-11/15 with the collapsible stock and the 8" barrel is AWESOME!!! :hyper

As it is designed right now, no. I am working on a different IRM design for the M-11A1 and M-10.

im hoping this leads to more uppers and idea's....maybe a 12 gauge upper?
I have the system , as it is it does not fit the receiver, I think it will only be a slight mod to make it work. It's one of the things I plan to test out when I get my unit back.
That system is designed to work with milspec uppers, but it doesn't fit any of my billet ar uppers.

I wonder if it would be possible to test out both at something like Knob Creek in October. I'm far enough down the list that I'd love a chance to try both before deciding. The hole isn't a deal breaker if there's an obvious advantage, but I'd rather not drill it if I don't have to.
That was my point earlier. I don't know enough about the two uppers to make a decision. I don't mind drilling a hole but I would like to have more info. At #250 maybe more will come to light.
