I recently emailed McKay Enterprises about the possibility of them doing a run of mini-Uzi receivers and/or flats and they emailed me today stating that they have plans to do so already! Now as to which one and/or when, I am not privy to that information, but I am going to assume they may also make other mini Uzi parts available in order to complete the project.:thumbs_up

Rod McKay told me the same thing at least two years ago. Maybe they will actually do them, but I haven't seen anything definite yet.

If Mckay builds Mini receivers, will they have the "ribs" that the IMI ones had?

The Vector's are "smooth" on the left side rear, of the receivers.

Yeah I just emailed them like 30 minutes ago. We'll see what they have to say. They may actually be doing it but they may be trying to ensure these are properly developed. When that happens, it may take a while, but best to make sure all your ducks are in a row before you start.

I've seen this before. Flood their email but lets also work with them. They recently worked with NoDak-Spud so that might have been to get their feet wet, get everything going for them.

I sent them an e-mail earlier this month, this was their response which shows promise.

"Hi Xxxxxxx,

We have the mini Uzi receiver in development. It's too early to estimate
it's cost of when it will be available.

Best regards,

Nodak Spud said they considered it, but the availibilty of parts is an issue. The only parts I see being different is the front grip, bolt/striker, top cover and barrel. Right?

The stock and hinged backplate are the other significant differences. Unless someone starts making all of these parts, new receivers won't do a lot of good.

front grips: http://vintagegungrips.net/uzifomisi.html
bolt: these can be found pretty easily
strikers and recoil assemblies: http://www.titleiiarms.com/Accessories_Parts.php
barrels: http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/militarysurplusriflesbarrels/uzi-replacement-barrels

wouldnt the receivers be made with an integrated hinged backplate? If not, why has no one done a run of backplates yet?!?! that looks like one of the most simple things to machine.

and i dont know if the practical solutions stock mates with the uzi well, but if they did, theres your stocks:
SemiAutoStockForWebsite.JPG

could be modded for that correct downward angle like a real mini stock...
the stocks from the KWC airsoft guns (yeah yeah, i know) are actually pretty damn durable too!
