It all depends on the upper and bolt combination. We installed our W bolt in every upper even test firing the upper and bolt combination and only the uppers that had any interference had the tabs bent. Our own upper does not have the tabs bent and runs flawlessly. We are only going to bend the tabs to allow for the variations in all the bolts. If your upper does have the issue with your bolt it is a very easy fix.

Does anyone have a picture of Sam's modified Uzi stock folded on the grey ghost? Curious if you can grab the front grip completely or does the Uzi butt-plate interfere slightly. Thanks in advance.

I'm not where I can easily post a photo, but yes, the buttplate keeps you from using the front grip comfortablely with that stock folded. It's a really nice stock though... I really like it combined with the GGhost upper and CF-W bolt.

I just received my grey ghost upper and cf-w bolt, and would like to thank practicality solutions for putting out a very nice upper. With that said it appears that I'm having a possible issue with the CF-W bolt and my lower receiver. It looks like the bolt is dragging over my Lage sear much more than it should causing the trigger pull to feel way heavier than with my Lage or dedicated .22 upper. The resistance is to the point that you can see the entire bolt rock downward before the bolt is released when the trigger is depressed. The trigger pull is way heavier with a ton more creep. Any ideas how to fix it? Btw, it's also a Lage competition trigger if it makes a difference.

It should be the same trigger pull after you wear them in. If you have a bad burr on the bolt sear notch that could take a while to wear out. It's hard stuff. Might need to take a file to it to remove it.

I had to file that on my bolt when I first got it -- you could feel a slight lip/burr there with your finger. Easily solved that issue.

I like changing stocks as much as I like changing uppers. I just modified Sam's custom Uzi-style stock that I bought with my Gray Ghost to make it "quick change".

I *very* carefully cut slots in the arms so that it catches exactly at the point when the stock is fully pushed into the receiver with *no* slop so that it is (almost) as solid a fit with the button-spring latch as it is the way Practical Solutions intended it to be installed with the screw-down block. I may go back at some point and make the slots just a little deeper, but I'm very happy with the stock and the change, as well as being happy with it in combination with the Gray Ghost upper and my CF-W bolt.

Also...

I've had the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 adjustable sights sitting on the shelf for more than a year and I finally found a home for them on the Ghost and put them on the for my most recent range trip.

They're a bit bulky but very functional, cool looking, and the way Coffee intended! It's unfortunate that they're not available for purchase from CZ right now... I'd buy another set.

That is a very good idea on cutting the slots. I want that now

Does anyone know why there are no slots in our stock legs? We started making the stocks for the M10's back in 2000-2001. There were not that many stock options for any of the MAC type firearms at that time. Once people started seeing those stocks on the M10's they then wanted them for the M11/9's. The main problems with the MAC type guns is that the stocks would wiggle and on the M11/9's they would collapse when worn. When this happens you wear the sight plate on your face. The Uzi style stock fixed the collapsing problem. When we first started making the stocks, we had cuts in the legs. The stocks would STILL wiggle on many of the guns, lock up tight on some and never lock up on other guns. Why? The guns are welded by hand and the stock block can move about .050 before welding. You lock them down and do the best you can when welding them into place. We needed something to take the wiggle out of the stock and the Stock Loc was born. It worked on EVERY gun no matter where the stock block was welded. Our Stock Loc pinches the legs between the Stock Loc and the receiver so there is NO motion.
If you are setting up one gun with the slots in the stock it is easy to do and you can make it just about perfect. You can also increase the spring pressure of your existing lock by replacing the stock lock spring with one for the sear. That spring is the same diameter but is longer and provides more pressure.

That's the key and what I was trying to be clear about -- make it perfect for YOUR gun unless you're willing to accept an amount of slop similar to the fit of your original wire stock.

You can also increase the spring pressure of your existing lock by replacing the stock lock spring with one for the sear. That spring is the same diameter but is longer and provides more pressure.

Good tips from the expert -- thank you!

I took the front ears down on the sight a quarter of an inch on the "Grey Ghosts" I made. I also like the rear sight all the way back. There is enough rail to hold it. I think it looks better.

Just sent Tina the CC info. Guess mine is ready to go! Can't wait.

Congratulations! You will be part of a rare breed. Owner of one of the most compact, controllable sub gun package in the world. The "Grey Ghost/CF-W clan". :)

These next guys have waited an extra week due to a special tweak we did on their folding stocks. They DO have the most compact Grey Ghost packages.

Different than the folding stocks that Group 1 people that ordered them got?

I'll try that with the rear sight. You're probably right about the front sight's ears looking better if they were lower, but I'd have to have them refinished.

EDIT: I went and pulled the gun out of the safe and moved the rear sight all the way back. I like that much better... it overhangs the lower without rubbing and doesn't cause any interference with getting the upper on and off. If I'd known CZ was going to stop stocking them, I'd have ordered more sets... they were only $35!

Yes, I picked those sites for that reason. They clear well all the way back and give you a longer sight plain. After you take the ears down touch them up with Birchwood Casey's Aluminum Black. It will match the color perfectly.Fairly inexpensive. I bought a few sets. :) I'm not sure If LPA, the Italian company that makes them for CZ is still making them or not.

This appears to be the replacement. http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/19370_Sight-Set-Evo-And-Bren

The original sights made by LPA can still be found but are very expensive. http://www.herooutdoors.com/asg-front-sight-for-scorpion-evo3-a1-airsoft-aeg-rifle-by-lpa/ and rear http://www.herooutdoors.com/asg-scorpion-evo-3-a1-rear-sight-by-lpa/ if you are really determined.
