I used the steel GMR steel cam, GMR 22 plastic trip and 22 GMR plastic lever to make the dedicated 4.5" suppressed barrel Borebuddy upper 22LR function.

The metal Borebuddy adjustable SS trip did not function, and its not adjustable.

The GMR bolt weight would not function with any combination of W weights.

The GMR steel lever did not work with the BB 22 kit.
I used a cmmg conversion (for 5.56 barrel) with my ss. The adjustable trip is adjustable, just it is a terrible design. The adjustment is made by unscrewing the screw that is in the milled metal part facing toward the front of the gun. It is a micro screw with a micro nut for the keeper. You have to unscrew it until it has enough distance to push the safety lever. It is a terrible design.
I have a rifle barrel. I used the heavy weights, the charging handle insert, heavy ejector spring, and the buffer plug. It was pretty necessary as I was getting terrible gas vent from the conversion. The velocities and accuracy really sucks from the conversion, but with hot enough ammo it runs really nice! 10/10

Thank you for the help.

The GMR 22 parts worked from the get go.

Sounds like I want lots of weight. I'll have to see what I have around for weight.

I found a trip and weight designed for the M16 to run the CMMG. I'll try that when the SS arrives. Hopefully before play day this weekend if I get to go. Moms birthday is more important.

The M16 trip will not work with the SS. There is a special trip for the SS. The bolt weight did not work for me on the 4.5" barrel. Just the plastic trip and the plastic paddle combo.

Got to shoot the CMMG 45 Banshee with 3- 30 rd mags. 100% function with the SS. 730 RPM. I will play around and see if I can get a lower ROF. Got a Kynshot RB5007 and Tubbs flat wire 556/9mm spring on the way.

I'm going to need a big fat 45 SMG can now.

I see GMR makes them out of several different alloys/grades of material. Any idea what the pros and cons are supposed to be for these materials?

4140 is cheaper but they have similar properties. My UK-59 has a 4140 case hardened striker. 4140 is very impact resistant. S7 is harder and more wear resistant. 4140 is much more corrosion resistant.

I went 4140. Cheaper and should work fine for a long time to come.

Found a CAD file for the trip on Odysse meant for a SS on the CMMG kit. Hoping to try it. Got a shipping notification today. If it works maybe I'll make a trip from aluminum and hard anodize it.

I watched a video haven’t seen one in action personally. So the question I have is. Is this going to wear the selector hole out? It appears to move around a lot.

I doubt you'll see receiver wear. Maybe wear on the SS. The hard anodizing used on a lower is extremely hard. I use the same anodizing, Hard Anodize, to mitigate wear from ceramics. Eventually it wears but it's definitely not immediately.

Put a little lube on the selector holes if you want. I will be. Won't hurt anything.

Strobro, any input on profiling the back of the trigger. I found a jig on Odysse, marked a trigger, cut it on the mill and did a radius with a buffing wheel.

Figured I'd try with a crap milspec trigger before cutting on something actually nice.

I bought one and made one. Pretty easy and fast. It's more important that the left side of the rear of the trigger be rounded enough. Go slow and function test, then polish.

A little moly grease might provide greater protection since it works into the tiny nooks and crannies of the surface.

I prepped a trigger with a jig I found on Odysse. Shaped the round with a buffing wheel. SS arrived today. Hopefully test it tomorrow.

Installed. Seems to work when cycled by hand.

What is the hole in the lever for?
