I am trying to install a folding stock on my vector IMI SA uzi. It is a full size gun and I have taken the polymer stock off and am having trouble loosing the screw in the back of the receiver that holds the bracket for the polymer stock. It looks like I have to remove the bracket to install my folder. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, you have to remove the bolt on the back of the stock mounting bracket. The folding stock will bolt on the same way. I've never taken off a stock that Vector installed, but have have taken a folding stock off an original IMI semi-auto and it was hard! They used some sort of loctite type of stuff, but it didn't look like the ordinary blue or red loctite. I had a beefy hex wrench but could not turn it off. I finally put the wrench in the vise so I could turn the gun rather than the wrench and that gave me enough leverage to get it lose.

The bolt on my VECTOR full-size UZI smg...

...was loctited in place & PEENED!

Trying to get the folder off so that I could install a QD wood stock was a major PITA.

You'd swear that the receiver would warp... 1st.

It took me 15 minutes, a very large screwdriver and several dozen curses to get the mother off, but it can be done!

Of course the ban expired the day I had to wear my best suit and dress clothing to work. I got home and didn't even bother to change before swapping the stocks. It is a miracle I didn't ruin my clothes! :)

I did mine with a ratchet after failing to get it done with just an allen wrench, it was not that hard if you use the ratchet and socket combo. It looks so sweet now with a real folder, you will be in complete bliss when you get it installed. It was just like Christmas day when you where a child!
