Capitalism

Absolutely not capitalism. Capitalism would be buying up stuff on one board and flipping on another board. He contributed absolutely nothing to the board except buying up hard to find stuff and immediately flipping it and raping members. That's being a POS, a number of guys agreed and he got run off. If guys were ignorant and thought that buying from this board and burning its own members was capitalism, he would still be here.

I have a standing rule of NEVER taking advantage of or profiting from dealings with friends and family. As a member of Uzitalk I believe there's a similar relationship situation here.

Capitalism is great but it doesn't serve most folks well without some regulation imposed. I'm glad Uzitalk imposed that regulation.

I’m still traumatized from the last high dollar item that I forced myself to buy because of the need for instant gratification and failure to do due diligence before having to have it now. I think it is called buyers remorse. Caveat emptor. Think before you buy. Do your homework. A few other phrases. Wasn’t it PT Barnum that said a fool is born every minute?

"raping" is an odd way to refer to a consensual transaction between two people for an agreed price.

I don't understand the urge to defend everything that might fall under the "capitalism" label, as if it's some religious dogma. There are many "capitalist" things that are terrible, morally reprehensible. A more important distinction is productive/helpful behavior and things that are not. Simply being a middle man is making the entire system less efficient and distorting the market. Scheming, rent-seeking, price-fixing, speculation, opportunism, bribing/lobbying are all capitalist behavior that honestly benefits no one but leeches. I don't know why one would welcome this behavior into their hobby, especially one surrounding a fundamental right. This libertarian idea that everything any two people might agree to must be inherently good because it fits some narrow view of "freedom" is something I've long since moved past. That's a poor way of defining freedom. I hope this isn't too off-topic. Anyway, I tend to stay away from "rare" gun items now, after spending some stupid money on AK mags in the past. I guess I did kind of the same thing with my M11s though.

Poorly regulated Capitalism is why we have become dependent on China for our basic drugs, drug ingredients, medical supplies, rare earth elements, electronics etc.

If that doesn't illustrate for you why some forms of capitalism are bad for the majority then you are a hopeless ideologue refusing to accept the complications of reality.

The other example that comes to mind are the scummy sharks that prey on widows and "buy" their deceased husband's guns for a fraction of what they are worth. Taking advantage of people, their ignorance or old age may be considered by some "a fair deal agreed to by both parties" but in reality it's not right, unfair, dishonest and stealing.

Sometimes things appear complicated but fundamentally they aren't. Golden Rule you know.

This started as RARE or HARD to find items. A person is suppose to hold off on buying a hard to find item because someone else will be offended that it costs more than they think it should or because it sold before they had a chance to buy it. On the other hand a person is suppose to refuse to purchase an item at the listed or offered price because someone else thinks that it is priced too low and they did not get a chance to buy it first. That is how the free market works with private sales between a willing buyer and seller.
