I have owned my FNC since '87 and it happens to be my favorite piece. I also have a GM barrel but I'm delaying having it put on. (have my reasons).
I'd like to know how those of you that had the GM barrel put on like the results. Have you been able to print 1moa or less out of it? What ammo and weight gets you the best accuracy?
My C gets best accuracy from Indonesian(pindad?) 5.56 rounds that I'm running out of. My barrel is still the orig. 1:12 but even using match loads doesn't get much better than just below 2-2.5 moa on a good day. Best ever still only gets just below 2 moa using PMC x-tac 55gr ammo. After the barrel heats up, it's all over the place. Don't have a whole lot of time to hand load for the 5.56 and would appreciate the info on the results of your GM barrels with different ammo and bullet weights too if you don't mind.

Hi,
I don't have a GM barrel. I do use the military 1/7 twist.

Shooting prone with S&B 55gn FMJ i have repeted 5roundgroups resulting in a 5-10 centimeters at 100 meter.
That is some 1.5-3 inch at 110 yards.
I don't use a bipod. I just put it on the mag.
I use a 4x millet DPMS optics or an aimpoint 2moa dot

Oddly, GM (same company?) Barrels are famous for their accuracy amongst Muzzle-Loader competition shooters.
