This may be one of those situations where bragging a little would be appropriate.

Awe yes, Those were the days when they were much cheaper. They were still considered high for the wages of that day or year.

Very nice, the workmanship is beautiful! The value of HK sears will only go up, smart move.

Just curious, a couple of questions.
- Do you run your MP5 suppressed?
-do you ever disassemble your trigger pack to clean the trigger parts?

I joined the MP5 club last year with a host built on a MP5F kit built by Jeff Walters (ghillie). It stays on top of the SMG pile. My Fleming sear is in a trigger pack that includes a three round burst so I never disassemble it.

Thanks
RFA

I have a Blaylock suppressor (a little heavier than most and comes apart to be cleaned) and every time I shoot it the trigger pack comes out of the housing for cleaning, however, don't actually take the pack apart for cleaning. To clean in the shop I toss in the solvent tank, brush and blow out with dry shop air, then flood with CLP, then drip dry and blow out any excess oil. In the field will hit with a little CLP, brush then flush with brake cleaner and then over oil with CLP (like to keep the sear oily ;-) and then drip and shake dry.

I usually run my MP5 suppressed and I just drop the entire housing in a tray of carbon killer and then blast any remaining dirt out with some Gibbs and re-oil with Mobil 1 or slipp 2K. My sear is in a burst pack, so if i take everything apart reassembling all the pieces makes for a rather long evening.

Yes, I run them suppressed and yes I will ever now and then clean the trigger pack. I clean the same way the others posted. Here is a link to help you take the trigger pack out if you are unfamiliar. http://hk.mattvanderhoff.com/html/burstpack.html
