Anything for $600 and less is a steal, and $700 is still a good price. Once the supply dries up, and people find out that they are actually good rifles, the price will go up quite a bit I predict.

i think there's a shop in my neck of the woods that sells NIB golani's for 699 so i would pay 550 for anything used, maybe 600 if it's never been fired. shop around on the net and see what you come up with...i think Aim surplus had them at one time for 599 but i'm not sure.

I saw a clean one for sale yesterday at the Ft. Lauderdale gunshow for $500. Newer cast receiver. Used, but looked new. GARY N4KVE

get it...

AK74auto,

I bought a second one (used) for five-hundred-and-twenty-five dollars the early Spring of this year. Ended up selling it to my brother for cost. Wish I had kept it as a spare.
Be careful as some of the Golani Sporters have wobbly stocks. You can always shim the stock (I rarely fold mine) with cut strips of aluminium cans and use the wobble itself as a bargaining tool.
As mentioned by Captain Phil, buying a Golani Sporter at a good cost is like buying a Galil kit, but with the possibility of getting a decent rifle for initial cost.
I do like mine alot and fortunately never had an issue with mine. As mentioned on the previous post, do your homework and you should be fine. Also mentioned previously, the supply on these will dry up and people are going to wish they bought one (aside from those that had teething problems early on).

good luck,

JKHolman

500 or 550 I wish I could just find one locally.Evidently everybody here wants them AR's with flashlights and extra handles on them. Classic arms has Golani's from time to time(just not when I'm ready to buy ) .They still have them listed at $579.95 but not in stock.I had herd that Century Arms Has Stopped production on them.Their latest catalog no longer list them.Doh!

Is it a shooter? This is the question that will determine if it is a kit or a rifle.

If it is a shooter, $700-ish is top end, but not unreasonable. If not, then $400 - $500 it OK for rolling the dice.

Just my opinion, and YMMV.

Phil
