i want to add picatinny rail to my golani

How do I go about adding picatinny rail on the dust cover and gas tube. And wich manufacture or rail would you use.

Find a gunsmith that has a lot of knowledge about ak based rifles. Find a picatinny rail that has the dimensions you want and has the same taper on the rounded part of the rail. Hand gunsmith a good bit of money to massage the rail and weld it on. Or by a UTG or Mako quad rail and save money.

I seen the utg rail but I didn't like it, I did see the Midwest industries rail and that one doesn't look to bad.

I went with the FAB Defence products and they are made in Israel to fit the Galil. No gunsmithing needed.

A top cover mounted rail does offer a couple of minor problems. I have one on a micro. First, need to "clearance" the cocking handle on the right side as it's very close to the edge of the rail and the rails can readily remove a bit of flesh. I hate bleeding when shooting. Secondly, each time you take the cover off, you can change your zero. :bigfart
