Krebs custom makes a peep sight (just like the ak rear sight but with a peep instead of a U notch)....and then there is always the Larue Iron dot or a Mojo rear peep. The Mojo is also a peep sight.

....or you could just widen and deepen the "U" a hair with a file or Dermel tool.:firingak

What are you looking to do regarding the sights ?? If you're looking for tritium night sights you can try www.polytechparts.com, they offer a set of sights that are very close to the originals but with the rear being adjustable for windage.

Your RPK should already have a windage adjustable rear sight though. If not, try K-var.

I know "Jack" about AK's....I have a Norinco sitting in the safe that I bought from J&G's back in 1985. I really do not like the iron sights and was considering mounting a Red Dot on the gun. I have LaRue mounts (AR's) and I do not want to spend that kind of money (Iron Dot) on the gun. What is the cheapest...yet best way to mount a Red Dot or Scope on a AK?

I just ordered some sites from a company named tech sites for a couple of liberty training rifles I am using for an upcoming Appleseed shoot. The sites seem to be very good quality.

I noticed they have just released a site for AK's that puts a rear peep at the rear of the top cover adding considerable site radius. You might want to check them out.

THM7 ... the most common mount for an AK is a setup using the Ultimak gastube rail and an Aimpoint of your choice. No permanent mods to the rifle and depending on your choice of optic you can co-witness the irons with this setup.

I was looking at an aperture sight. Cheaper than dirt has one. But IDK I would really like to keep it looking as origanal as possible but cant find the origanal sights anywhere.
