IMI model B box

I've always seen the model B's in the black plastic case but a friend of mine just got a model B in one of the Blue cardboard boxes like the A's came in. The box is serial numbered to the gun so it's original. Anyone seen that before? Serial number is SA47xxx.

I also have one in the 47xxx range. I didn't get the box but a few on the forum guessed it was dated back to 1985 or so. I suspect the plastic cases didn't show up till a bit later than that.

Nope, but honestly, I've never really paid any attention to when they changed either. My guess is that would be about an '85 import??? I'll look and see if any of my old catalogs give any more info. Karl.

"B" model - serial # SA- 66XXX came in a Black plastic case with the white UZI cardboard sleeve. I bought it new at dealer on March-16-1988...... Hey, looks like I'll have to have a 15th anniversary party for my Uzi.
