i remember saying "i have to have one of those" when i saw Snake Plisskin, cut a large hole in the wall with a Mac in escape from new york.

Escape from New York! That reminds me how when I was a kid I thought if I ever got an M-10 I would try that. Anyone have a spare sheet of sheetrock? Now if I could only get my hands on a pair of Beretta 93r's (converted 92s in the flick) for that vampire elevator trick..... ;-)

I will never forget going to see McQ as teenager with my parents.
Yes, the MAC made a HUGE impression on me, but it wasn't until around 1980 when I saw my first one (semi) that I recognized what it was.
The open bolt semis were fun, but it wasn't until almost 30 years later until NFA became legal in my state. There was absolutely ZERO doubt in my mind what my first purchase was going to be.
It was surreal bringing home that Powder Springs with the can screwed on it laying in the front seat. LOL

As an aside, I knew of the collector who owned the 9mm M10 that was used in McQ. Years later it was donated to the NRA museum in Virginia. I guess that's a good thing; I don't know if its on public display or not.

He took a m10 in his supply rig but mysteriously used an m11 in NYC.
