Hey AresShrike,
have you heard any movement on the ARM handgurds yet? I think it was you that sent them a sample to copy. I sent Matt an email the other day ( I know holiday time) but have not heard anything since I got my AR sets in Dec.

Would like to know as well. I have an ARM going to build soon and I'd like to have a nice wood HG for it

No, not a word.
It was both AKmoose, and myself, that responded to Matt's plea, for mint examples of the Galil ARM wood handguards.
It took'em just 2 1/2 months to return the handguards, but some updates, during that time would have been nice.
I guess it pissed them off when we asked for our handguards back.
They seemed pretty hyped on the whole thing, when they asked us to supply examples, so they could "bring it to market", and profit.
But after that, it sure seems like "screw you", is the latest from them.
Fine thank you, for sure.

Yeah dont hold your breath man. I felt bad you guys were out your handguards for so long as well as the cost and hassle to ship them there for nothing but a big FU.

As much as it sounds improbable at this point as far as I recall Ironwood is just Matt and one other guy who helps out from time to time. Not justifying the lack of response etc at all, but maybe its a possibility down the road. Way down

I sure hope so, that Matt and company do actually bring the Galil ARM handguards to market, some time before I croak.
They did have some wooden Galil AR handguards available, a while back.

I know Matt, and them, are busy, that's great, God Bless'em, I wish them the best.
It would be nice to see those new production, Galil handguards come to light though, that'd be more than enough of a "thank you", for AKmoose and me.

Been watching this thread. Was hoping to see some good news about a new handguard supplier.

Matt from ironwood designs sent me this message;

"Currently we produce the AR model hand guard set, and we are working on the ARM set.
If you need an AR set, I can send you all the details. ARM set will be posted on the home page after we complete and dial in the final part.

Let me know." So it looks like a quality built wood arm handguard is going to,be available in the not to distant future.

I was told you must supply the metal hardware and they will install it. Are those parts available?

Generally, the only way those handguard hardware parts are available, is taking them off your old set.
Both, the wood and polymer ARM handguard's hardware look identical, to me anyway, so either should work.

Glad you got a reply, he never answered me back. I'm good now anyway.

Yep you will need to supply a donor set of hand guards to strip the metal off of. Make sure the metal is in good shape/ finished as they don't do that. ARM & Ar hand-guard metal is the same. I will say their AR hand guards are nice, just need to be finished.
