But if you want to check out what is going on...you can take the firing spring/striker assembly and the recoil spring out, and take the lower off...slide the bolt back and forth and see how much it's rubbing (with and without the top cover on). You can then determine how much of a problem it is and then decide if you need to polish away or otherwise remove some material from the ring or not.

If you take the barrel nut off the gun the barrel pops out about .010 because the bolt is pushing it forward.
if you pull the barrel out and look at it the contact is from 8pm around to 2pm and a deep tooth mark from the extractor which cant be good.

Ideally the bolt is supposed to stop on the rear of the trunion before it impacts the barrel
