Is New Technology Like Forced Reset Triggers Or Super Safety Going To Reduce The Viability Of Multiple Thousand Dollar Accessories

The SS won’t fit in my Tromix Saiga. The Saiga rails interfere with the cam location. I’m tempted to cut a piece of the rail out and see what happens. People are working on the SS for other cheaper 12Gs so I’ll probably just wait on those

I already have the NFA guns and don’t need the money so they’ll sit in the safe. Time will tell what happens.

For the topic of this thread, it probably depends on the cost of uppers. If a 12G Mac upper is $1k then maybe I’d buy one. If the cost is $3k then it’s a no go. For $3k I could get a 12G AR-10 and have a much more functionally ergonomic gun that accomplishes the same thing.

From my experience very few people can actually afford MG money let alone an expected car repair. Somewhere I read something like 75-80% of the US does not have $1000 in savings. I'm sure it has not gotten better. As sad as it is I know people who are struggling to put food on the table. The economy is not good.

AK safeties are being shipped. There is something about how the Saiga rails are longer to the rear so the AKSS won't fit. Don't know if it is true with the S12 as well.

I haven't gotten out to the range much and haven't shot my Mac since I got the SS but there hasn't been many outings. That said I hope to run a couple hours north to a MG shoot in a couple weeks. No way in hell I'm getting rid of the M10! I don't sell guns, just wear them out. I have a 30% completed 22LR upper design too! I'd rather buy ammo than sell a gun anyways. Need another safe still.

The MG and SS world definitely overlaps. A SS mimics nothing. It is purely semi auto. It only allows the shooter to keep up with the gun. Most FA guys I know are tickled to death about FRTs. Most I talk to have some form of forced reset trigger. They sure go through ammo like FA!

Another super safe (and MG) day at the range. The AK SS worked incredibly well. It’s a serious win. The folding stock on the AK of course sucks for shooting. I need to put a fixed stock back on

Nice! SS are a viable option to a transferable. I have already removed a couple $k from accessories for my mac due to my SS firearms. If I had transferables that equate to my SS firearms it would be approx $100k.

The transferable AKs were always like that for me. They were never worth the money to me for what they are. It sure was fun shooting one with a $200 SS though. It mentally feels like shooting a post sample since it’s only worth the sum/cost of the parts. Ride it hard!

The AK SS removes the 7.6x39 Mac and M16 uppers from the never ending list of stuff that I think about buying 🤣

Is the AK SS 3 position? If so I'm gonna have to get/make one.

Unfortunately it’s only 2 position. It’s pretty challenging to get a 3 position crammed in there. People say they’re working on it but I’m not holding my breath

Where are you guys buying these SS at? Do the metal versions have a shelf life as far as wearing out? I imagine printed ones wear out? Im just now hearing about this.

Grey market research.
Or the files are on odesy web site just search 3d super saftey.

The MP5 version supposedly has wear about the 3k spot.
I'll find out as soon as I get it installed.
That's only from one user though and I bought the exact same setup before I was shown the vid.
Best advice is to check out the review forum here there is a thread on the SS that many of us agree has the most tech data in one place on it and the different hosts it's working on.

Bummer it doesn't work in the S12 ( fit ) I'm not going to cut rails short to jam it in.
Really waiting on the AUG SS to toss into my STG77 or M3A1.

As far as sales goes I'm seeing more SS stuff being printed, sold, or home machined, then I am transferables selling.
So while it is not a MG device by any stretch, lots of guys are picking them up and installing them to make their semi guns faster semi guns.

It's a hobby to me and I've never really had a cheap hobby.
Any good fun hobby cost money.
Biggest problem I see with the SS is people being able to afford to feed them. 50 cpr 556, 50 cps 762x39, 25 cpr 9mm.
Most are not going to be able to afford to turn money into noise every weekend like the 90's and early 2000's.
Most average guys can't afford 1-3 mags never mind 500$ cases of ammo today to put down range in a day.

I too recommend GMR.

Everything wears out.

Finally got it installed today in the SP5 I'll be updating the main SS thread later tonight since there are zero instructions for install or troubleshooting.

I bought what ever metal one GMR sells.

Who makes the AK super safety? GMR doesn't list any.

Thanks for that too. I already ordered one from Skoprints so we'll see how that works.

To the original point of this posting, the super safety may well be the end of many add on accessories. It makes a cheap gun almost as good as the real thing for a small fraction of the price.

One could (and I believe did) say the same of the "Lightning Link".
