Bought a Lage upper recently that I have just got around to testing today. This gun ran fine with the factory upper but will not feed with the Lage. I have tried holding down on the mag while firing, lubing the gun and taking a mag and bending the feed lips all the way in and as far out as I can get them with a multi tool. Any other things I am missing?

I also had a feeding issue on my MAX 10/9 mk2. Federal factory ammo would feed fine but other name brands would jam at the chamber mouth every other round. The rim of the case mouth would stop on some rough machining marks. I had a friend pull the barrel and use his lathe to very lightly smooth out the marks then I re blued it. The transition into the chamber was then nice and smooth and it fed perfectly after that. Can you post a pic of the issue you are experiencing?

ETA: edit for clarity....the rim of the case mouth, not the rim at the base of the cartridge.

How do you post a pic? I am noticing that the factory barrel has a cut out for the extractor and also
More material removed to allow the round to transition into the barrel smoother. The Lage barrel has
neither of these.

What ammo are you using? You need to use factory loaded, full metal jacket, full power, 230 grain round nose ammo. It may work with others, but start with that.

1/ are you using only FMJ 230gr factory ammo

2/ which magazine are you using: a modified or regular grease gun mag

3/ do you have the correct mag catch for the magazine in 2/

1:Factory Blazer Brass 230 gr FMJ ammo

2: mags that came with the gun which appear to be modified GG mags. I can move the mag up and down about 1/4” or so

3: using the Lage thumb release grip with their dual mag catch.

Are you saying you can move the magazine up and down a 1/4”? Is this with an empty magazine and the bolt closed?

Bro what you got there are cut mags for the original mac. They just cut part of the spine off of a grease gun and so that they could charge something for it. Sounds like you have replaced your grip and are now using a mag catch that may not be holding it right.

Find somebody with a correct grease gun mag or get the correct mag catch.

Mags say SPW on the front and someone had ground on the back where the mag catches.

I agree with this 100%.
