It wasn't an Assault Rifle back then

I bought my HK93 back in 81 or 82. Back then it was just a rifle not the evil Assault Rifle that it is today. Over the years it has fired thousands of rounds and I can't remember it ever jamming. I will either end up passing it on to my Son or burying it somewhere depending on how the laws go.

There is an interesting story about how I got that HK93. Back in 81 I was living in Illinois. In 81 Illinois changed their laws to make it legal to own a Machinegun. I ordered a Auto ordnance 1928A1 Machinegun. I had all the paperwork signed off and sent off to ATF. I even had the gun in my hands at the Dealers. Then the news found out about the new law and claimed people were going to shoot up babies with machineguns and the State made Machineguns illegal again. Right after that I got my ATF form disapproved. The dealer sold me the HK93 then instead of the 1928A1. I moved to Florida in 1983 and ended up buying myself 7 Machineguns but I could never afford the 1928 Thompson. The 7 machineguns I have are worth about as much now as the Thompson I tried to buy back then.

Back in '84 the Montana prairie dogs sure thought my HK93 was an assault rifle! •24 power scope, •HK PSG1 trigger group, •KDF muzzle brake (0 recoil; never lose bullet impact image), •NP3 (teflon nickel) coating so cleanup after 600-800 rounds per day was EASY... I still miss this one.

I have a 3x9 Scope on my HK93 and I can shoot a quarter at 100 yards with these old eyes.
I like my AR-15 but it is like a toy compared to my HK93. Other German guns I own, a 1918 Luger, a 1916 KAR98AZ, and a East German made Makarov. The Germans know how to make Firearms.

HK93 are cool guns

Esp if you have the real deal ... And by that I mean a HK33 ...

But the mags suk for pricing

Oddly a number of gun companys/sellers did use the team Assult rifle esp in the action movie 80s as a selling point till it was a dirty word
