Tell us more about it. What type of Uzi is it? What stamped in the receiver?
What's the problem?

Sounds to me like the bolt is hanging up on the top cover. Try switching topcovers and see if the problem still exists. If after that you still have a problem, strip down your grip frame and clean all the parts inside of it.

Ok, here's the deal.
You have an illegal barrel for the gun, unless the gun is registered with the ATF.
If the gun is only a semi auto (which at this point in time, I hope to God it is) you have to have a 16" (or 18" in a few states) minimum length barrel if it's a rifle. The gun needs to also be at least a minimum of 26" in length.
These are specs for semi auto carbines.
If you have a 10" barrel with a semi auto gun, it is illegal, and you need to get rid of it immediately, or at least get it far, far away from the gun.
Please spend some time in our library, as it explains all about how to keep yourself out of prison.
The library explains all about the legal issues of owning and operating may different types of Uzi's.

thanks for the heads up. i had ordered that barell off the net. and they sent me the wrong one. and yes the gun is goin to be set up semi-auto..but when you pull the top there isn't anything there. i need all the equip for it

jimmyd, I recommend you do two things:

#1: Get rid of the 10" barrel before you buy the remaining parts to make the gun functional.
#2: Find a knowledgeable gun person living in your area that can help you with this project first hand. You should have the gun inspected to make sure there's nothing unsafe or illegal about it, and you'll need some help getting the missing parts. Unless you spend a lot of time doing some learning, any advice you get here could be confusing and could lead you into all kinds of trouble.

I'm confused about where you got the 10" barrel. In one post you said it came with the gun and in another post you said you got it off the net.

Just to clarify a semi auto Uzi has to have a 16" barrel to maintain its legal carbine status... You can put a shorter barrel on it but you have to go thru a lot of legal paperwork first... More on that later...

I would guess if you got a 10" smg barrel it would not fit the trunion (fit in the gun) anyway unless someone did some alterations on it.

you are correct. i wnt fit the gun. it and 2 mags were sent to me by mistake. i had actually ordered the firing pin. obviously they sent me wrong stuff. wouldnt give money back, or give me the right order

And who was it that you ordered these parts from? It doesn't sound like the kind of service that our typical vendors give.
