Uzi Update!!!

The Uzi is a Model A.

It is a SEMI-AUTO It is in perfect condition.

The bolt and striker assembly are missing. Jimmy received the weapon like this. It only needs a semi bolt and striker assembly, and jimmy is ready to fire that baby!!

The 10" barrel was a full auto barrel, it was not cut for a semi restrictor ring. It now resembles a puddle of Mercury. No problem there. :milk

It does have a 16" barrel. I will take pics of his Uzi when I get the chance and post them. We are practicaly neighbors!!

It looks like you are ready to rock & roll. Buy plenty of 9mm ammo, you will need it. The Uzi is a FUN gun to shoot..Good luck on getting the parts. If you ever get a chance to go to Knob Creek in Ky (big MGS twice a year), you can get all kinds of goodies...mag carriers, loaders, ect.
Good Luck.

it's in Kentucky just outside of Louisville and is worth the trip from Texas. Last spring's show was just about worth walking all the way from Georgia.

Way to step up to the plate Glockdude1. I think it's awsome that you're helping out.
Also, congrats jimmyd. It sounds like you will have your Uzi up and running in no time.
As you can see, it's very difficult for a person new to Uzi's, to relay what they have, as well as it is very difficult for all of us to understand what a new person is talking about sometimes. It's all about terminology, and knowledge. That all comes with time.
I'm glad jimmyd is legal, and I'm glad someone here could help him first hand.
Happy shooting.

Looks like a beautiful condition semi auto Uzi to me. You know, it may have once hosted a registered bolt with a FA lower which would explain the lack of internals.

Regardless, you inherited a nice gun and already have good folks helping you out. Enjoy the gun and be safe. You defintely found the right place for all things UZI.

Federally, Silencer are NOT illegal. Some States resrict them. You will have to check with your State.

Just some Paperwork, Fingerprint, LEO signature, time and $200 Tax.

Pretty sure suppressors are legal in TX. Maybe restricted in your local area... Click here to see the overall procedure for owning a machinegun. Same thing you have to do to get a suppressor...

BTW spend some time in the library here... A whole lot of info here on Uzis.

Jimmyd,

Yes suppressors are legal here in Texas with all the proper paperwork, fingerprints, $200 tax paid, etc, filed.
