I paid more than the going rate at the time because it was a NOS M10 in 9mm (adjustable front sight) and especially because it was a Powder Springs gun. The only thing I have changed on it is the Practical Solutions folding (mini uzi style) stock because it will stay on my shoulder and looks like it belongs on the gun. It was the Mitch Werbell stories and his Mercenary Camp that is just speaks 'Merica! Seeing some of the VHS footage seems pretty cheesy, but that just makes it cooler. I won't ever sell mine.

Definitely a clunky gun. I bought mine because it was available for a good price and the M16 I was going to buy sold about an hour before I got to the shop. Was bummed about that! Lage stuff is just icing. Tenko will be a turning point and when I get a call about a rimfire upper I'll just be giggling!
I've got a M11-380 and along the way I bought a 9mm Suomi mag 9mm upper and a second standard upper to host a tungsten bolt, and later a Fleming .22 upper. After buying the .22 upper, I haven't used the .380 or 9mm uppers. I consider it a sort of 'poor man's full auto 10/22'.

Im really looking forward to that PS 22LR upper! I also have one of the Max31 uppers but Ive hardly run anything but the Max15 223 upper since I got it.

Ill have to buy stock in 22LR ammo to keep going I fear!

that looks familiar… seems they covered up the branding on the side with white tape, I guess iMatronic didn’t pay for the advertising…

I love period correct vintage/retro ridiculous attachments on vintage/retro guns. It’s the juxtaposition of modern “tacticool” stuff on a 50 year old stamped steel parkerized classic that gets me cringing…

I used the analogy earlier but I’ll say it again, it’s like putting a TESLA body kit on a 1987 Monte Carlo SS or something.

I love huge 80s helium neon lasers, I collect them. I’ve got all of the models that were offered in the 80s. all 3 or 4 of them

There is a whole history about optics on 1911s too that I believe started with competition on military bases. Very similar to that wheel gun with a giant box on top of it!

What's amazing is laser Max came out with their laser built into the recoil spring guide rod for automatic pistols the same year imatronic started selling that laser brick.

The M10 with a silencer that had a laser sight mounted on it in the movie "Escape From New York" comes to mind. And the internet tells me that a throwback version was used in "The Walking Dead" tv series.

There was no laser on snakes MAC-10, he had an old school rifle scope mounted to the suppressor though.

The same prop suppressor was indeed used on the walking dead, different scope. Different gun too.. it has a sear pin/SMG selector hole. Snakes gun was an RPB open bolt semi auto. No sear hole in the receiver

It appears to be a sleeve installed around the fake suppressor that has a weaver mount on top of it.

That movie is what got me into the M10 in the first place. Snake even had the old
RPB leather hip holster, though it was customized with an added suppressor holster attached to it.

Let's see now, he was issued three magazines one of which was blanks he fired off before he even left. So he went into New York with two magazines. I wouldn't do that even today! Anybody ever do a round count to determine how many thousand rounds are in each magazine?

The blanks was escape from LA… you are confusing the 2 films lol

First time he used the RPB M10 in escape from New York was when the “crazies” started coming out of the sewers. While fleeing the crazies, He used a magazine to shoot a circle into drywall and punch through it like a door into the next room of an apartment building. Each mag had probably 200 rounds give or take lol

I believe he is shown reloading once in the film but I can’t recall.

Then Isaac Hayes ended up with it and was shooting semi auto rounds at the president chained to a wall and demanding compliments. That was also the actual sound of the gun, the suppressor was fake. The full auto fire was fake. A lot of films use semi auto firearms because the speed of the camera can pick up the muzzle flash more effectively, and then full auto SFX are dubbed in. The gun in EFNY was an RPB open bolt semi auto, that doesn’t mean it couldn’t be converted internally to full auto only without any evidence of that externally.. there’s plenty of ways it can be done that are not identifiable from the exterior of the gun, but it’s clearly a semi auto when the duke is firing it… or he is the most talented sub machine gunner I’ve ever seen, squeezing singles out of an M10 as it balances on the toe of his boot like a ghetto bipod.

“You are the Duke of New York you’re A number 1!!”
