Marty, any update on the Khimera project?

AA and the SABRE are now dead and most people didn't like the design anyhow. The Khimera keeps us hopeful that something 'done right' will eventually get approved by the FTISB.

Thanks,
Esox

I have to ask, what is this "Khimera" thingy?

Where did you get that solid model of that upper. DId you make it, or is that something that Marty sent out? I don't remember that being in any of the threads.

Yeah, I noticed the wrong sided charging handle. Must be a bolt action machine gun. LOL

All jokes aside, I'm interested for an M10 version.

To me, that is not the wrong side for the charging handle. Having the charging handle on the right side I think leaves the left side open for the Valkyrie Armaments belt fed conversion. Wouldn't that be cool?

I like the buffer in the registered lower magwell idea. Basically a magazine that has the recoil system in it. This makes the M11 registered lower very required, and improves the odds BATFE will approve it.

Yes it would.

Or get rid of the side charger alltogether and use a spring loaded AR top charger. Non reciprocating :)

Like the Kriss Super V? That would be an engineering nightmare lol

Just pointing out that there is a lot of interest in these. Especially since the only other solution might be EOL, and is incredibly over priced and over designed.
