The Closed Bolt MAX-31 operated the same as the open bolt. The sear held back a block of steel that would strike the semi-auto bolt/firing pin. On subsequent shots, the block followed the bolt and would impact the firing pin when the bolt closed on the chamber. I think it would be the same issue with BATFE as if it was open bolt operation.

Richard, have you thought about selling a closed bolt conversion kit? Is that something that the AFT would approve?

I've seen videos of you shooting the closed bolt MAX31 at Knob Creek, but I wasn't sure how you pulled it off. Can you post a video showing how the closed bolt operation works?
