You cannot buy the actual good AP 5.7 ammo in bulk, last I checked. You can only get shitty plinker rounds. Why would I pay more than green-tip prices for less than green-tip performance?

Find me a reasonably priced 1000-rd case of 5.7 at a local dealer or surplus shop. Ain't gonna happen.

I'd rather stockpile 9mm or 5.56 for FA fun.

That is the offensive part to me. Gay meaning attracted to the same sex and Gay meaning "stupid" implies that someone attracted to the same sex is "stupid". I think "hooray for me and my likes" is a good thing. "You are bad/wrong because you are different from me" is putting someone else down which I don't see as a good thing. No matter how cute or funny you state it, putting someone else down is never a good thing in my opinion.

And gay for 2000 years meant happy. So define traditionally... 30-40 years? The whole point of the PC argument you make is not to offend. Who decides what’s offensive? When did we devolve from free speech to “free From being Offended” speech?

To me the term "political correct" can be replaced with the word "kind". I don't feel there any reason to use a term others would find hurtful. My mother told me a very long time ago, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all".

As far as derailing the thread, I made a comment as to the use of a term. But most of my post was about the subject matter. Then I clarified my comment. One other member agreed with me. I see a whole lot of posts arguing against my comment.

Some find that using the term "gay" implying that something is useless and stupid hurts them. There are those that mean to be hurtful in that way. I was trying to point out t0 those that would use the term because of "common usage" that the "common usage" could be hurtful to those around them that they are not aware of.
