That MAX-41A pulse rifle appeared in 2010 or earlier as a one-off prototype. I don't think Lage is interested in developing it further because, although it is very cool, the description on that page still says:

"MAX-41A will not be going into production. Due to the personal time and effort it would require to produce them, even in small quantities, it would not be a good investment of resources."

Suspect you’re right. He seems like a sharp guy, I suspect he looked at the price point and pool of potential customers, did the math and made a cold blooded business decision, as he should. Doing stuff like the 5.56 uppers he has customers (including my mother’s favorite son) lined up with cash in their fists. And I’m going to wind up buying more uppers he comes out with, I’m sure. Not really much incentive to come out with a highly memeable 9k upper that 10 people are going to buy instead of getting a Stemple, or something. OP, perhaps you’d have better luck inducing him to sell the plans in a DIY format, supplying your own SBS.

Most true... perhaps will have better luck with a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range? ... Nope don't want to rely on "batteries."

Build it and they will come ha ha.

Oh they're around. After Lage did his first batch you would see them at subgun competitions, but they were eventually banned because people thought having a shotgun and digital round counter was too much of an advantage.

Here's some guy shooting one at Knob Creek a couple years ago

Oh that's Knobb Creek. It was this really fancy shoot that used to happen where they had off duty male strippers run the buzzer.

Does it count bolt cycles or somehow sense what is in the magazine?

I thought "top secret" meant what he was actually running last year at KC. Scorpion upper? MCX upper? MP5 upper? something actually useful with modern mags and drums.....

This is what I was hoping they were talking about also.

Todd and Jake!! I wish I could have gone to the last KC.

I miss Todd. Someone buy him a new M11 so we can watch him play some more.

I thought this thread was about Richard's new 22LR kit for the Max-11A1/15.

If Lage put that out, I would for sure buy it...but would need for Max 11/15.

That being said anyone know if a reliable (relatively, given it is .22LR ammo) 22 conversion kit exists for Mac 11?

Nothing is being made now that I am aware of. If there was no doubt there would be a lot of talk about it here. Look for a Lage 22 kit. They are the best by far. A Fleming can run too if you don't mind messing around with them a bit. If you mean the M11-A1 (shorty .380) then ask Mr. Strobro, he converted a Lage M11/9 kit to run in his but it has to be the larger magazine well. Fleming did make them for the baby MAC if I'm not mistaken but they would be rare. Or you could probably cut down a Fleming M11/9 upper.
