Aside from, eliminating one safety, are there any troubles with locking it back? It woud be easy enough with a small piece of sheet metal, nad it doesnt appear it would hurt the function in a SA gun.

The reason I ask is I know this guy, uh that had his right thumb cut off years back, and well, what left of it rests right were the grip safety is. Just wondering, for my friend, you know.
;)

Thanks

get yourself a couple of lobster claw rubber bands, and it will keep it back without putting metal in there. I did it with some thick rubber bands, and it worked fine. BUT, if you ever gig someone with it, it might open you up for a lawsuit, so beware.

I removed the lower grip assembly and jamed a plastic wire nut between the grip and grip safety bar.....works perfect.

Anyone make a lighter spring for the grip?
I like the grip safety, but its a real bear to engage.

I imagine you could cut a coil or so off the spring. Not normally a good way to reduce spring tension but will work.

That is pretty much what I plan, except I will use a piece of metal cut to fit that will rest up against the edges of he built up area for the rear pin.

Cool

That has been pretty much the norm over completely disableing it... a coil or 2 will loosen it up...

The weapon won't fire unless....

you have a FIRM grip on it... I consider that to be a GOOD thing!

You CAN get USED to it... REALLY!

A buddy of mine had a .38 casing in his F/A Uzi grip to hold the safety back. Seem's a little to risque' for me. I like my grip safety.

just come out and say it, double talk dosnt make sense!

Is it a handicap that prevents the grip safety from being engaged?:) :)

Sometimes I use a Rubber band to keep it engaged. This is only when I am in the woods, and even the slightest noise can give my teams position away.....:D

Tell you buddy that I apolgize. Also, tell him to grab one of the rubber glock sleeves that Pachmyer makes that has the finget grooves on it. That should keep the saftey pinned

When you look at the pistol grip frame from the top you can see that there is a "pocket" in the rear, formed by the frame and the grip panels. You can put, for example, a square rubber block into that pockect to lock the grip safety. I've done that a few times when my son shoots my Uzi because his hands are smaller and the grip safety makes it difficult for him to hold the gun firmly.

I cut some coils off the grip safey spring and made things much nicer. It is very easy and still retains the safety in full function.
