Looking to add to my Galil

This is a picture of my Galil. I would like to ask the following questions:

1) Is there a Burris type bipod made for this weapon? I like how those collapse and aim forward.

2) Are there decent companies that make a high quality top plate with Picatinny so I can add an Eotech to my Galil?

3) Is there a company that makes front furniture with a lower rail to add a handle/flashlight?

4) Is there a way to add a carry handle?

For the carry handle, just replace the rear hand guard retainer with an ARM type w/ handle.

Check out Mako and midwest industries too for handguards.

You could also likely attach a harris bipod via a bayonet lug connector too... Though the closer you get to the muzzle the more attachments affect barrel harmonics/change point of impact.

I am unsure which of the railed handguards are ARM carry handle compatible. I suppose with the Mako polymer you could take an exacto knife to it to fit though...

Thanks everyone! I went with Apex Gun Parts for the carry handle and rear handguard. I went with Zahal in Israel for the 4 rail system (as per 2manytoys suggestion), and I went with UTG tactical for the bipod (as per sniperdoc). The bipod will connect to the lower part of the handguard, as per RSR's recommendation that I avoid having an effect on barrel harmonics.

Now I have to wait patiently for these items to come from Israel. ;-( My hope though is that after I put on the Surefire and Eotech that I own, this Galil will be as good for CQB as my SOCOM-II. I'm excited! Can't wait!

Here is what the SOCOM looks like:

Re:as good for CWB,the Galil is just too heavy, unbalanced, &long to compete
That's why IMI developed the Micro Galil. The Galil was made to be a general purpose, highly reliable field rifle. Enjoy it for what it is.
Good Luck!

The SOCOM isn't all that fantastic for CQB either. I'd say it's pretty even between the two, with maybe a slight edge to the Galil, IMO. I have both and love both, but I think their ideal place is for engagements 50-200 yards. They are both very heavy and relatively slow compared to ARs and the like.

But roll with what you got - it will be fun for sure!

The SOCOM isn't ideal for CQB, HOWEVER, as it's an M16/M4 derivative, a simple upper &stock swap (1minute's work) , parts availability, & ease of swap, it's the better choice. Changing the barrel on a Galil is expensive, takes a LONG time,& is a (semi) permanent modification, butane upper swap on the SOCOM takes seconds, no tools, &is easy to change back.
I love my Galil, but M16/M4 wins HANDS DOWN when talking conversions. 7" to 24" barrel w/an upper swap that takes seconds!

I could be wrong, but I think he's talking about the Springfield SOCOM II, 16" M1A variant w/ a mess of rails on the front end.

You're probably right! I forgot about that gun,& the M14 is my favorite 308 platform!
