I have an M10/45 that I mainly use the Lage uppers on, but I occasionally like to run the stock uppers on for fun. I tested my side charging upper with a fixed firing pin MPA bolt and it ran great until I put the can on then it started having light primer strikes every 3-5 rounds and then it did the same thing even after I took the can off. It was fully cleaned before the range and I only put about 80 rounds through it. The only difference I can see between the barebones stock upper and this side charger is that the previous owner took the extractor out of the original bolt which runs great while the MPA bolt still has it. Are extractor issues know to cause these issues. If so, what's a good fix for it? Thanks in advance for any input!

I ended up checking alignment and from what I can see, it didn't look off. I did end up removing the extractor and it was CAKED underneath which I think was causing the issues. I removed all the carbon, oiled, and replaced the extractor. It seems to clip onto empty cases much more easily now. Hopefully that clears up the issue.

Yeah the original bolt in my Mac-10 had a lot of caking under the extractor. Same thing happened to me, and I ended up cleaning it out and it worked much better after that.

I run a Practical Solutions .45 ACP side charging upper with a Hybrid 46M suppressor and it runs like a dream with factory 230 grain , reloads are slightly unreliable.
