I got my PS M10/45 last year and I have been using it with a LAGE Mk2 9mm upper with a Double Feed bolt. I've had feeding issues with it which I posted an another thread, trying to use "factory" and converted Suomi mags

Also since I first got it, I upgraded the grip to the LAGE Grip with Thumb release. So I took it out this past week to try for the first time with a 45 ACP OEM upper, The gun would run only if you held the magazine all the way up, turns out I bought a "notched/modified" GG mag. Doing some looking online, the Mag Catch from LAGE is for Unmodified GG mags. I have some coming in the mail and I think they will work fine without having to hold them up. FYI, I really like the ROF with the OEM upper and I want a faster rate of fire with 9mm too, so I'm thinking of selling the Mk2 upper.

Question 1: That particular mag catch is specifically made for the M10/45 and unmodified GG mags, how does it function when using a 9mm upper with a magazine insert sleeve? basically what type of mags should be used?

Question 2: What is the highest capacity magazine through only the pistol grip can you can have with 45ACP and 9mm? Also for the 9mm it for Double Feed or Single Feed bolts? I think the highest capacity is achieved if you are only using single feed bolts?

I'm sure I'll have follow up questions after this...

I tried the different mag catches on my M10's, even the 'dual' mag catch (modified and unmodified GG) with no success.

I've found that if you buy new GG's and use a three-sided file to tune each mag to your weapon, you'll have the most reliable set-up going. Zero issue after doing that with two M10's. Not much filing to do, maybe an 1/8th to a 1/6th of an inch. YRMV.

Slowfire? On an M10/45? Nooooooooo!!! Get a USMG side-cocking upper and a Gemtech Viper and rock that screaming machine with amazing control. You don't need to slow it down.

the dual mag catch doesn't always work well, I prefer to cut off the back lower part of the mag where the mag catch grabs the mag. If you have to modify your .45 mags then you have to modify your 9mm mags for the same lower, for your 9mm conversion.

I just received some un-modified GG 45ACP mags they seem to fit correctly, will try them out on Saturday.
