IRM version. I finally was able to get a few hours off today to go try it. First issue was that when I opened the box up last night there was no manual, no Odin instructions (I have never used an adjustable gas block before), no wrench for the adjustment, no stiffer spring for the safety. Thankfully I do have internet.

I went to my range with about 6 GI mags loaded up to 25 and a brand new plastic mag that I ordered from Lage. This one I kept empty and used it to adjust the gas per the instructions...

Started at 11 on the gas block and after every single round the carrier would lock back. I went down 8 clicks and I could not get it to short stroke, so I tried it there for a full mag and I kept getting failure to eject, kicked it up incrementally back to about 11 and was still having the same issue. It would run but every mag gave me at least 2 failures to eject. I was using PRVI pArtizan ammo which runs great on all my ARs. I didn't have any other ammo and I only had about two hours to play with it. The casings in the throat were empty, there was some roughness on the brass where the ejector grabbed the round but the lip was intact, but it would strip a round from the mag. Any help is much appreciated.

Your semi-trip is being activated.

Remove it and see what happens.

ETA - Your last couple sentences make no sense. What are you trying to say?

The rounds that did not extract were empty casings so they all fired. Their were some rough marks on their lips where the extractor grabbed them. The extractor did not rip the lip off as I have seen on weak brass.

We will check with the shipping department to determine how you were shorted those parts. Very odd to have that happen.

Empty fired case but not extracted- keep opening the gas one click at a time until a full mag’ will fire without a problem. Check the extractor to see if it is chipped or missing for some reason. Every upper is test fired with at least 1 round of Federal M193 and 4 rounds of Wolf Polyformance.

Wolf is okay through it?
Last year we pounded multiple mags of new production polymer coated Wolf, original lacquer Wolf, commercial brass, and mil spec brass, 55 grain and 62 grain. We shot multiple mags of each ammo type one right behind the other, all mixed together, random order, etc. The MAX 11-15 ran without a single malfunction. It’s very impressive!

Good to know... I’ve only run brass. So I assume steel-case doesn’t void its warranty...

Steel case is fine and is the majority of what I personally shoot. The laquer coated steel case will cause problems and will void your warranty. This was based on my personal experience.

The Wolf Polyformance has run great for me and it's cheap and readily available.

Mine has eaten wolf & everything else I’ve fed it without a failure- keep working the gas block it’s well worth the time to tune it properly for whatever ammo or set up you’re shooting.
