Recently purchased second hand a Lage Max M11k upper receiver group for my M11/9 The listing also said this (pictured) bolt was a tungsten reciprocating bolt. I cannot find any picture online of this bolt as claimed. After searching forums online with no luck, it seems this might be the place for the knowledgeable people to help identify this bolt.

Apart from the bolt, I purchased a "Lage Mfg MAX-11/22 22LR Conversion Kit", but it seems to not fit into the Lage Max M11k as it is too tall, Was I mistaken to think it would fit into the MAX-11 Lage upper? From my time searching I see that this might be for a first generation of Lage uppers?

Thank you for your time.

Welcome!

Your 9mm bolt is not tungsten, that's a standard MAX-11k bolt (M11/9 bolt with extra weight bolted to the top).

For the 22, does it not fit in the upper receiver or can you just not assemble it? The reason I ask is it looks like the back plate is upside down. That will prevent everything from being aligned during assembly.

Actually- that 22 bolt looks like the original MAX-11/22, not the mk2. Looking at the manuals, it appears that the mk1 bolts are taller than the mk2 bolts (which I never noticed before honestly). Your MAX-11k upper would be the mk2 version.

For the .22 kit, the recoil plate and buffer assembly just need to be spun around to flip it to the other side. Unfortunately a Mk1 .22 kit will not fit in a MAX-11k or Mk2 upper.

Thank you to both of you! Both of your comments helped me identify and also figure out what to look for to make this .22 kit work.
