So I shot my second subgun match and I have found a major issue. The M11/9 mags suck to reload and are quite tiresome. The metal easy loader is not going to cut it.

Anyone got a resolution for loading quickly? I found this video but I think this guy is just making loaders for himself.

I have both the plastic M11/9 mags and converted Sten metal mags.

Any help would be awesome!

The maglula mag loader for double stack pistol mags works fine for me. It help to have a table to push down on.

Wouldn’t work with metal lip mags. He’s slamming straight down which means the zytel lips are being flexed apart as the rounds are crammed past.

Holy crap you're right. Just watched the video, and this guy is using a 36rd speed loader to just shove rounds into a single-feed zytel like you would an actual double-feed mag. He must be destroying the feedlips. Standby for spontaneous ammunition ejection...

What kind of setup are you running exactly? You can set up a Mag well for STEN mags or for the zytel/PAM-2/Shockwave mags. But it won’t work for both styles.

Can the Mac 10-9 double feed mags share the same magwell as the zytel mags? If so a double feed bolt assembly and doublestack feed ramp may possibly be fabricated for the mac11. If all that is possible then the speed loader(stripper clips and mag spoon) for the mac10 double feed mags has already been found and heavily used by me.

Yeah, I've got a Sten mag and my M11/9 lower in front of me right now and I'm not seeing how it could possibly fit. Looks like the backplate would need to be removed entirely?

Back to the original question: With a double-feed mag setup, you can use speed loader to reload the mag. Any single-feed mag is going to be time consuming, and nobody has a good fix for it quite yet.

Myself, I go with Suomi mags and the 36rnd blocks. I can reload a mag in 4-5 seconds, provided my ammo is already on the blocks.

Can you explain in more details? Just got my 10/31 upper and my coffin mags are a pain to load. Are you using a mag loader of some type?

The 36 round Suomi stick mags have a loader, and a 36 round "Stripper/Block". It's like a stripper clip, but five of them side-by-side, forming a square. It makes reloading the magazine stupid-quick. It can be modified to work with any double-stack 9mm mag (I think). I have personally used one for a MP5 mag, it works well.

50 round Coffin mags are quad-stack single feed. Anything Single-feed is bothersome to load. *Idle metal exercise: Bottom loader?*
