M11/9 spec is wild and all over the place. Even the factory uppers have issues like this all the time. Slightly different front trunnion heights between different production runs of SWD upper receivers cause the trip to work on some and not on others. The trips sometimes are too tall, or not tall enough. Basically any issue you bump into that involves the gun firing or not firing semi auto when it’s supposed to is going to be related to the trip. My best advice is to just get rid of the trip entirely. It will increase the reliability of the gun and eliminate all these problems. How often do you plan on shooting your machine gun in semi auto?

When you sight them in with a scope it uses a lot of ammo bursting 4-5 5.56 at a time. And you’re not quite sure which of those was the first shot

Ah… yeah, I honestly complete forgot about people using these guns to shoot rifle rounds.

When I sight in a mac, I do it in 3 round bursts or 2 if I can. Trip out is best.

I dunno. I make 2-3 hits doing triples at 140 yards with the Lage 223 upper. Do the same at 50 with the OEM 45 upper.

For zero I just single feed.
Which of your triples was the one you were adjusting the scope for

You posted it above. The last line he posted , which you posted reads:

"For zero I just single feed."

I put the Eliminator pin in all four of my Mac style RRs. If I change or add an optic, when I sight it in, I put put one round in the magazine at a time to get single shots.

Great. Fantastic. I’d rather have a trip that works so I don’t have to put my finger to load it with an open bolt
Don't have your finger on the trigger when you drop a round in?

Ever used a sled on an AR or other semi auto?
