I was thinking a M11 in 7.62x25 would be a hot little subgun. I think the chinese converted some stens to 7.62x25 and that got me thinking if I had a M11 that has the sten mag conversion what would it take to have a M11 in 7.62x25. I wonder if the litte round be too hot for a m11. But can you see the fire power of a 7.62x25 at 1100rpm out a 10" barrel or even if you slow it down to 600rpm.

Those rounds is slight long for Sten mag, need to be shorter.

You not going to do it with a std design M11... how you going to contain the chamber pressure, the std M11 barrel is .540"OD inside the upper.. lose .395" to chamber diameter, that leave you with maybe .072 wall around the case body. Likely see barrel peel at the chamber area ? Going to need more barrel material to support the chamber pressure increase, then bolt not pass over barrel, need bored, thuus losing bolt weight in process..

The M11 bolt is not very heavy, 16oz average, compared to original gun that used the 7.62x25, likely major weight difference. Going to need to find some weight in the system somewhere.

Run 147's in 9mm, or go 40 S&W.

I did get the size spec on the 7.62 and it shows max lenght to be .2 longer than the max lenght 9mm. Maybe I can look into a ar15 SBR in 7.62x25. I would just love to have that little round in a fun factor someway and if done in an ar15 I sure would keep it blowback with a heavy buffer.
