Only rumor I've seen would be this thread, so you'd be the first! Make it happen and you'll be the one taking the money. Probably a fair deal of it too.

why don't you just make your own feed tower? rather then hoping and wishing someone else will make one because you want one............... there is a old saying, “Wish in one hand, $hit in the other, see which one fills up first.”

making it isn't so insurmountable, you just need to cut down the mag and have 2 tabs for the screw to go into the drum.

another way to do it, which is what I done to make a SLR-106 5.56 AK feed tower from a plastic TAPCO GALIL/GOLINI mag ; take a BETA 9mm feed tower....doesn't matter which feed tower it is....cut the top portion off then take and cut the bottom of the M11, line up the cut 2 pieces, I use a block of wood the same inside dimensions of the mag and feed tower to precisely line up the 2 pieces.......then I cut 2 alumium pieces to be brackets, and epoxy the bejesus to make the two pieces into one.

now that I told you how to make one, you and anybody that's reading this thread that has a MAX, can make one for themselves......if you can walk and chew bubble gum at the same time, you'll be able to make it :)

you're welcome :) glad to be of help :)

the first 30 seconds of this video will show you what I did to make a 5.56mm AK feed tower..... I made this tower more then 5 years ago, and it still going strong, no sign that it is failing

I bought a PAM2/Beta tower from member Jmacken37. I think he charged me about $25 for the tower. He said he made about 100 of them. You should PM him. He said first 100 members who PM him "Hi Jake. I want it BAD" gets them at that price.

It was not as fun as his 140 rd drum. I think he was selling them for $200.

Gut told me it was a joke, but looked so good I sent an IM anyway :)

Damn, I sent Jake money already. Damn. He told me that he could weld this magazine into one that would fit my 1958 MAC M9:

Come on Jake, quit trying to hoard all those drums you made. Now that the word is out we will just have to keep PMing you until you give up and start selling them.

You know, there might be something to making a Beta tower for the MAX-31. Yes, a 72 round drum is good, and 100 is better. Of course, when the 31 was introduced, Suomi drums were $24 each, while Beta Mags were $300+.

Inexpensive drums are great, but they’re slightly awkward to reach around when installed. The advantage of the Beta mag in this platform is that it fits up tight under the receiver. The support arm reaches under it to grasp the forend in a more natural manner.

Of course, the Beta Mag fed through the grip with the more traditional upper is just a bit awkward as well.

So yeah, it might be fun to tinker with a feed tower for one of these. It would end up looking something like this.

With ammo prices what they are, I don't even shoot the 71 round drums, and I only load the 50 round quad stack sticks to 25 rounds.

MHO, YMMV, etc. Be well.

ever hear of the saying "buy it cheap stack it deep"?

that's what I have done since the very first panic buy I encountered Y2K, that was shortly after I retired from the Army.

ever since then when the prices were good or cheap, I bought a few cases of ammo I shoot.......then restock my stash as it started to get down a bit. it didn't mean me going into debt to buy ammo either

that got me through several panic buys and shortages that happened since then that allowed me to keep shooting, during the height of panic buying.........the last time ammo was cheap, cheap, cheap, which I took advantage of, was about 7 years ago when the gun/ammo market was dead, dead, dead and there were super great deals to be had on both guns and ammo. :)
