i do not have an original m11/a1 barrel setup anymore....i have a 380 GG with 1/2 x 28 threads

i want to buy an original can..i believe (not sure) they are 5/8" X 11 tpi

is there an adapter i can use to go from 1/2 x 28 to 5/8 x 11tpi?

the barrel on my GG is short...so im not sure if depth would be an issue either?

I bought mine at US MachineGun. 2nd page of the thread adapter section. Works well with my original can.

The link looks like it is going from a 1/2-28 to 3/4-10.

The one I purchased was TA-12380. 1/2-28 to 5/8-11. I have the original sionics can (not sure which type but it is all one size) recored by Bowers.

My suppressor threads are definitely 5/8x11 which I'm assuming would make it an original PS 380 can (others might have more insight). I'll check to see if there are any markings on it when I get home. It's got a Bowers griptastic cover on it... so I may or may not have any luck removing to view

With the right thread adapter, it should work. As you can see by the size difference, the original 380 cans are smaller in volume than the 9mm cans. According to the internet, the .380 Auto features the same diameter bullet as the 9mm and the same diameter case. I've got an old SWD .380 can, but never thought about getting an adapter to run on my 9mm subguns. Probably only because I have other 9mm cans for that. If you decide to try it, please let us know how it works. Probably will work fine, as many of the current 9mm cans are even smaller in volume than the SWD 380 can.

My M11-380 came as a package deal with an AWC Agenda Six suppressor that has 5/8-11 threads and screws directly on the OEM upper. I've bought a couple of the noted 1/2-28 female to 5/8-11 male adapters for 9mm use. A couple vendors sell 5/8-11 thread protectors that are extended length and cover the muzzle end nicely.

Best of luck with whatever you decide to pursue.

I tried to buy a 380 can the SOT talked me out of it as I wanted it for 9mm and it was 180 bux.

Told me it would not last on FA fire in 9mm as it didn't have the volume needed and that's why MAC made all three threads different on the guns.
So you couldn't mix the suppressors and wear out a 380 can on a 9mm gun or run a 9mm can on a 45 gun.

Don't know if that's a true story as to why they are all threaded different but it makes sense.
And I suspect there is some truth to this or he honestly believed it.
What other reason would have not to take my money?
