I’m sure this has been covered before, but I couldn’t find the information I was looking for. How often do Powder Springs M11A1’s come up for sale? Not the RPB finished and stamped guns. What could I expect to pay for one?

I always thought the powder springs M11 was that, an M11 not an m11a1.

I searched for awhile for one and ended getting a double stamp powder springs / rpb with a can.

If you want one keep looking, might take awhile.

Does yours have the trunnion that is the full width of the lower receiver, the one without the added reinforcement tab?

Only RPB and SWD gun’s will have the “A1” designation.
All the RPB completed guns will have the small, propriety magwell.

It sounds like I'll be looking for a SWD until an Ingram becomes available. I was hoping to find one before the .223 upper is announced for them. The only problem with that is any upper designed for use with the SWD magwell won't work with the Ingram Mac if I find one later.

What Magwell did the powder springs have if it's 9mm? I thought the 11/9magwell didn't exist until SWD

I have a double stamp M11 in the 700#s. On the Ingram side it’s marked 9mm and 9mm k on the RPB side. It’s registered as M11 no A1 added.

since ive owned my m11/a1 ive paid attention to the PS11a1's and ive seen 2 come up on GB

i remember one went for a decent amount of $$ (i am not sure, but i thought 1 of them went to like $8500-9000 or maybe i was dreaming..i know it got a ton of bids)

i think they are the thicker metal like a PS Mac 10

These guys have it correct. There's just no such gun as a Powder Springs M11-A1, so if you're looking for one so marked...you'll be looking for a long time to come.

What Maxwell did the powder springs have if it's 9mm,? I thought the 11/9magwell didn't exist until SWD

9mm auto K / 9mmK is also known as .380acp...these were small magwell .380 guns. There seem to have been some PS M11's which did not have the "auto K" or "K" marking...still 380 and small magwell guns.

An original PS M11/380 (small magwell) sold on GB for over $10k a year ago. Two more before that sold for just under $11k and just over $11k respectively

i think they are the thicker metal like a PS Mac 10

??? Uh, no. M11, M11-A1 and M11/9s all utilize the same gauge sheet metal.

I don't know exactly what you are referring to. If you have a picture I will pull mine out of the safe and get back with you.

Gaujo:
9MM Auto is 380 ACP

The reinforcement tab is welded into the front of the M11/380 and M11/9 receivers to beef up the sheet metal were the front receiver pin goes.

My Marietta MAC M11 did not have that tab. It had one of the old style receiver pins that were a real pain to remove. I wonder if the earlier Powder Springs M11 MACS have the reinforcement tab.

There will no problem using a M-11 or M11-A1 lower receiver made by PS, RPB, or SWD with the Lage MAX 11-15. All the OEM .380 uppers should also interchange without issue.

The large magwell allows you to run the Lage MAX-11A in 9mm. It also allows the use of the 9mm CF-W slowfire bolt. Though not produced recently, the Lage .22 conversion can be shortened to function in the small frame M-11 with a large magwell. These are the options that open up to a large magwell gun.

All other uppers will fit and function without regard to the magwell size.

Most, but now all, SWD M11-A1 lower receives share the same magwell and mags as the M-11/9. Sam at Practical Solutiions offers a service to replace a small magwell with the larger version if that’s a requirement.

Something I'm discovering is that Ingram MAC Model 11 lowers made at Powder Springs and Marietta, do not have the reinforcement tabs. RPB, SWD and Lage uppers will fit MAC M11 lowers but OEM MAC uppers made at PS and Marietta will not fit RPB and SWD M11A1 lowers due to the wider trunnions.

Unless someone knows different, I think the reinforcement tabs were not added until RPB started making 380 lowers.

This is correct. Neither my PS or Marietta M11 have tabs.
I have a 9mm SAP in my collection that not only has no tab but also has one of the laminated steel triggers. Apparently the cost savings didn't work out and RPB went back to cast triggers. I haven't seen a laminated trigger on a MG. Maybe someone has and can post a pic for the database?
I checked six of my M11A1 SAP pistols I could find, and all have the tab.
