Is there any advantage to the HK M14.5 x 1LH threading versus the 9/16x24 9/16x28 ?

I heard that the HK M14.5 x 1LH threading was developed to be the best engineering combination of gas sealing and prevention of cross-threading during installation.

Some say that the LH threading is better as the suppressor gets tighter during firing rather than loosening. I've also been told it has nothing to do with it and they will vibrate loose anyway.
I've got a Tactical which has the 16x1 LH threading. I've also got an SWR HEMS2 and a Gemtech Blackside threaded for the Tactical. I haven't noticed them come loose but I haven't shot a lot of rounds through them either since they are both wet cans and.

I don't know where you heard about the 14.5x1 being better for gas sealing and cross-threading but IMHO, sounds bogus to me.
I think there is more chance of cross threading a finer thread and the 14.5x1 is finer than 9/16x24.
However being LH thread, I think the 14.5 is better if you believe that it prevents it from loosening and I really don't have an opinion on that at this time.
Just my 2 cents.

I like the left hand threading but it takes conscious thought to remember which way to turn it so that I can remove it. That said, when I first got it I tightened it too much to the point that I couldn't get it back off with my hand so I took it out and shot it. The can was not functionally loose after putting several mags through it quickly but it was loose enough for me to take the can off the pistol with a fair amount of ease.
