I'm gearing up for a move and I dug out some old gun magazines from the 70's to 2000's. I've scanned them and was wondering what is the easiest way to share with the MAC community. I have them in folders in a Dropbox account. I'd like people to view them and/or download, but not modify my stuff. Is there a better way than Dropbox for sharing? Just for the record, there's about 60 magazines.

Topics include:
MAC family guns (full auto, semi, carbine, etc)
M6
Mitchell Werbell - authored some articles, some goodbyes after his death, etc
Stingers
Cobray Intl and Merc work
Streetsweeper, LHC or Strikers
Cobray/MAC/Leatherwood ads, sales sheets

Some magazines have several pages scanned, others only have an ad. Every magazine has the cover, table of contents and the pages interesting to me. I have a few other manuals to scan, but they are pretty lengthy.

See if Concorde will post them on www.Mac-11.info

I have been working with RHAISCH and have several of his more strictly “MAC” articles on there now.

I’ve had to do a lot of resizing and converting and though it’s been worth it, for new submittals it helps if comes to me as a web-ready PDF.

None are for sale. I'm keeping a copy of each. I have to sort them and will look at selling some time later.

My scans are in jpg format. I've sent several to Concorde, but its labor intensive.

I bet!

I hope they can find a good home on the internet for all to see. There's a ton of good info in there!

Great mags! Thanks for doing it.

My fascination with MACs started from a gun mag I read as a teenager in the early to mid 80s. I think the article was called "Big Mac Attack" and it said it was the 'most fun you can have with your clothes on'. I keep hoping I'll stumble across that article again sometime. It would go great with the MAC collection.

Thank you so much for taking the time to scan these in and preserving some history. I really enjoy reading old magazine articles, like taking a trip back in time. I just read the 1971 Shooting Times article on the M11, and was quite surprised by the last two sentences of the article. "Of course, it is only for law enforcement and military use. Don't even ask how to obtain one -you can't." What a shame that even the writer and editors of Shooting Times were not aware of and promoting ownership of FA. Can you imagine how many more machine guns would be on the registry if information was widely available to the public on owning machine guns ? Or am I missing something, were sales of the M11 restricted by the manufacturer in the early years ?

Thanks for doing all of this....so far only printed out the M6 pages....funny how they directly compare it to a Thompson.... i did not realize it was the same size....i will agree due to its light weight that it would be quicker to shoulder..i would even agree single rounds are more accurate...but under full auto the thompson is much easier to handle...the M6 has a bit of Mac 10 in it...its hard to hold on target while the Thompson isnt.....mine is out of jail in a few months and makes me more excited reading about it

my only guess is that the MAC guns were pushed towards militaries and LEO's. citizens were not really on the radar, especially with the $200 stamp on a $200 gun.
