New to the forum!! Just got a Mac10-9mm. With 4 std 9mm mags. but no mag loader. What is the best loader for these mags and best place to buy?? Is the Mac10-45cal loader the same as the 9mm? Also gun shoots great but front pin hole is starting to elongate, who is best to repair and are there different ways to solve this problem?? Thanks, JD

Lula loader for loading. Sam and Tina at Practical Solutions for any repair work, they are great people and Sam does amazing work. Lage Mfg. for internal parts upgrades and upper receiver options.

Hey! Welcome to the best place for Mac-minded folks.

Sam at Practical Solutions is the guy to bring your M10/9 back into spec.
The 45 cal mag loader doesn't work on the 9mm mags.
You can buy 9mm loaders at most of the mac/cobray parts dealers.
I have used some generic loaders on my 9mm magazines before, but the cobray marked ones fit and work better.

Again, welcome aboard!

A trick I learned on here:

5.45 stripper clips

Two clips and 30 rounds are loaded.

The M-10/9mm was manufactured in two different configurations. Early guns featured a double stack double feed magazine, and later guns have a single feed magazine. The loader you need depends on which magazines your gun uses.

I’d go ahead and shoot the new toy for a short while before sending it to Sam at Practical Solutions to weld in the tabs if needed and repair and re-park your gun to as new condition.

I sent mine off to have the tabs welded in and re-parked while I waited for my tax stamp.

Mag loader

I have double feed mags and they load fine without a loader. Are yours single feed?

I think mine are the double feed? They are pretty wide and the bullets snap in just fine until about 2/3 full and then they load pretty hard! Is there a loader that works with them? I do plan on shooting it for a while and then sending it to Sam. My FFL will let me shoot it at their range and it is still my new toy!!!:)

Thanks, JD

The original Walther M10/9 mags are easy to load by hand until full.

The RPB M10/9 mags sold by FTF and others load to about 20 rounds then become difficult without a loader.
My fix was I took a long wide file and gently smoothed the insides of the mags, removing what appears to be parkerizing over spray, and polished the insides as best as I could. This was not a quick process. I also took a fine file and fine grit sandpaper and polished the follower in the direction of its travel when its inside the mag.
I cleaned the inside of the mag very well and found it loaded almost full with less effort than before. It still wasn't easy loading, but it is manageable and do-able.

Maybe that will help you too. Just take your time and work gently.
Its worth the effort.
