Max-11/15 should I get 30rd or 40rd mags?

I was only able to load 92 or so rounds of steel case in my Beta double drum. Brass would load 100. It worked fine for 5 or 6 dumps, then malfunctioned and only emptied one side.

Sooner or later I'll remember to empty it out and send it in. Tell Beta to unfuck their product for me.

They are homemade. They are a combination of aluminum, wood, and 3D printed carbon fiber infused nylon. I didn’t want to spend $450 on the KNS spade grips and adapt them, so I bought a 3D printer, desktop cnc machine, and a wood lathe to make my own for $3,500 instead. Haha

Thats the spirit! Haha! Looks really good. Would love to see more pics and details on your mount, adapter, and linkage.

Did you use graphite every time you loaded the mag? That makes a world of difference. I have 5 - 5.56X45 and 5 - various 9mm versions. I put some graphite in to start, halfway, and 10 rounds before the end. I also put a snap cap in as the first round. The bolt tends to gouge the top rounded dummy round. The snap cap prevents that damage and the aluminum shavings from going into the firearm mechanism.

owning a MG is by far the best reason to have mags with capacity over 30 rounds... if I shoot only semi auto guns, I rarely if ever bring out anything greater than 30.

Yes. Every X rounds or so. I've graphited the fuck out of it.

So is it possible that too much graphite was used? I have also found that if the gun is wet with oil, the oil will spray down inside the mag, mix with the graphite and make a paste that will gum up the mag. If you want to send the mag back to BETACO I am sure that they will straighten out the mag. They have straightened out any problems I have sent. Most problems I had ended up being the feed tower was worn out. At first I used the stripper clip mag loader that came with the mag. The loader was very hard on the plastic feed lips. I have since switched to the Lula Loader. It is slower than the stripper clips, but much easier on the feed lips. BETACO sells five packs of the plastic feed towers. If I start getting double feed issues, I first try a new tower. Good luck with your Beta C.

I bought ten of the Surefire 100 round mags. So far they have worked well with the additional bonus that the bolt hold open activates at the end of the mag. I find a 20 second burst more fun than a two second burst. Of course the 20 second burst is much more expensive. I don't run my machineguns every weekend. But when I go to shoot, I go to shoot. YMMV.
