I had a request to make up a Micro sized nut to regular size thread adapter to allow some of the regular UZI accessories like forward pistol grips, rail systems, etc to be used on the Micro as well. So... I made up a couple and will have available if anyone happens to have a need. Pic's here and will be on web under parts section.

Very cool. I assume the typical use would be for mounting a suppressor. I can't think of too many other common accessories that mount to the barrel nut threads. I don't think I have a use for it but I'm going to buy one just because it's cool.

Yea I actually thought the same thing at first (FS suppressor use) But then the barrel OD is all wrong for indexing a FS can over a Micro barrel and you lose the rachet teeth function on that side as well. Barrel extension/Fake can OK but I make a special Fake can for the Micro already. I was told he has a couple acessories for the FS UZi nut to include a vertical grip and a Optical rail he wants to use on his Micro. Beats me.. I just make the stuff :)

So this cannot be used to mount a full size suppressor on a Micro?

I wouldn't use this one as the threads aren't long enough to bottom out on the CAN mount and it has no stub on the end to align/index the barrel inside the suppressor mount. You have to remember, the main centering alignment for a suppressor is the OD of a barrel. It should be a close fit to the inside of the suppressor mount to align the baffles properly.
The MICRO barrel is closer to .590 OD than the .635 OD of a standard FS or Mini Barrel and it would fit loose inside the suppressor mount with just the threads centering the can.
Since I've had so many requests to make them work with suppressors I'll make a different version of this one with a short thin stub barrel to fit close around the Micro barrel and size the OD to match a regular barrel OD. It will up later today.

Micro to FS Thread/Barrel Converter

Here's a version that will convert the Micro thread to FS and has a barrel stub to adapt the smaller OD of a Micro Barrel to the OD of the FS models. The FS thread length is the same as on a FS model. The stub is thin and only takes up about .030 but it keeps things centered in the CAN. Micro SMG/Ported barrels are snug so they have to be smooth and clean to slide in. The shorter (Semi) Pistol barrels without the ports will work as well as they are about .010 smaller.

Last question Will it also work on a semi UZI pistol barrel? I"m guessing it will I just have to ask.
Thanks Mike

Oh yea, I have both here and they work in my Can fine. The semi is just slightly smaller and shorter.

Guy:
I'm a little reluctant to order one only because of your "snug fit" disclaimer.
I have a ported bbl. on my Micro that I got from Troy at BarrelXchange.
It's got his finish (looks like park) on it.
If you think it will fit I'll buy one.
Do I need one or even have anything to use it with? Hell no! Just like Dave, it's cool, it's unique, and it's Uzi so I have to have one! :)

The "snug" fit disclaimer is for those barrels that are painted or have flakes of park or dirt on them. Same disclaimer as most Suppressor manufacturer's use because to keep everything aligned it needs to be as close as possible to a perfect snug, but smooth fit. I used my clean and freshly parked barrel as the model and it slides in like a wet trombone slide. Smooth as glass with Zero play. No big deal if it needs opened up a bit but I don't want to make them sloppy to start with. You should be fine with that barrel.

I just wanted to give you guys an update on the UZI Micro/ pistol adapter. I used it on my UZI pistol with my AWC MK9 and it fit and worked GREAT! Lots of fun. It's well made. Guy does great work. If your thinking about getting one go for it you won't be sorry.
