I have a Mini Uzi 22 conversion kit I bought off of GB. I dropped it in the Mini and it ran right out of the box both suppressed and unsuppressed. A lot of fun burning 22.

Looking at the bolt, there is a notch cut in the front of the bolt for a Micro Uzi charging handle. There is a steel plate installed with two screws over this notch, but it is there. So now I am thinking about trying to install this in my Micro Uzi.

Obviously I will need to use a Micro Uzi recoil spring guide rod and buffer. But my question is what recoil/main spring to use. Will the spring from the Mini work in the smaller Micro? Since the steel plate that covers the charging handle slot will be removed the bolt will be lighter.

Looking for advise / suggestions before I just head to the range and use trial and error to see if I can get this to work.

I'm not 100% sure about full auto but the semi auto striker and springs are the same for the mini and the micro.

Is this a semi or auto 22 conversion kit? The 9mm bolts are the same size in my mini and micro but the ejection port is longer on the mini bolt (both of my Uzi's are semi auto). I don't know if this matters or not. I bet it will a problem finding a 22 barrel for the micro unless IWI barrel will work in the IMI.

This is a full auto open bolt conversion. I was so excited about having a bolt that might work in the Micro, I did not even think about where to get a barrel. At any rate that will be easier to have made than a bolt would.

CDNN says their IWI Micro pistol has 100% spec parts "whenever possible"
No clue if that means Semi vs FA,9mm vs 22lr, ease/price vs authenticity, etc
But that may be a start for a lead. Maybe they can even get a barrel from an irreparable returned pistol at a fraction of new cost

They sell the Walther UZI, which is totally unrelated to the setup nklf is talking about. No parts interchange.

I assume this is one of the bolts made by barrelxchange. That's the only open bolt .22 I can think of for the Mini UZI. Can you post a photo of the notch/steel plate on the top?

I'm going to guess that it is an early run subgun-ordnance bolt. I can't recall if barrelxchange was involved in the making of those or not. The mini bolt fits the micro uzi by removing that plate in the top. It needs a dedicated barrel that subgun or barrelxchange might still make. I think the mini spring that came with the bolt also works in the micro.
