Mini Uzi Barrel Questions

I bought this from a local dealer but I have so many questions. I haven't decided if I want to even try to build a mini.


Why is it for the FA trunnion but needs the semi feed ramp?

Is there a different barrel retaining nut for this...cause this one has too large of threads for the standard ones I have so it will not go past them.

Any idea who made this? I don't think it is a factory Uzi item cause it has Mac threads on it.

Any clue on its value?

Re: the feed ramp - from my understanding Vector offered this as an option for SMGs. There was the option of a machined feed ramp to help with certain bullet types to feed more reliably. This could explain the way your barrel is milled for a FA trunnion and a semi style feed ramp.

As for your barrel threading... it almost appears as if it was a display barrel that has been modified because of the diameter of the threading being so large. I am not an expert and could be wrong but that coarse threading is really strange as is the milling of the trunnion restrictor ring. Most all Uzi barrels I have seen only have a flat spot on the ring for alignment and the milling does not continue onto the trunnion section.

On the Mini Uzi, the semi auto and Full Auto used the same size trunnion. But only the semi auto used the restrictor ring. The Mini also uses a different barrel retaining nut than the full size. I'm not sure if the aftermarket barrels with the MAC suppressor threads used a special barrel retaining nut. It has value to an Uzi owner who only has a MAC suppressor, but it is sort of a specialty item. I have a MAC threaded barrel somewhere in my spare parts bin, but I don't remember if it is a full size or a mini.

I think you're referring to the micro / pistol barrel nut. The full and mini are the same but the micro is smaller. The threading on the full and mini is M26x1.5, and the micro / pistol is M24x1
