Much like the Seahwaks, it needs a receiver.

Just kidding, Plus I can't spell Seahawks! I hope they win it all, just makes things more interesting:)
Just wanted to show my parts off so far, don't even have my approved gun yet:(
Also, for those running a a suppressor on the 1/2x 28 threads, are you able to screw your can on all the way, or is there space between the mount and the flat portion of your Lage barrel?

I have a Spacer for my YHM Cobra 9mm can to run on my 9mm AR. From what I read its good to have to contact so it has more surface area to keep it from unscrewing and causing a baffle strike. I now have a Bowers can for my M11/9 no issues without a spacer.

Thanks OC, maybe I'll use the spacers made for using 22 cans on AR thread lengths.

Make sure there is no space between the suppressor mount and the barrel shoulder. The AR spacer or peel washers are a good idea. Crush washers are not good.

I have a small space (thickness of a piece of paper) in between my Lage max-11 and my suppressor...the barrel on the Lage is not cut at 90' at the base of the threads

there is VERY little contact area between the suppresser and the Max-11 barrel...and it does get loose...

it has a small rounded transition that causes the space...non of my other barrels from other guns have this problem. The flash hider that came with the Max-11 has been counter sunk to make it flush

I only own 4 mags, so with reload time I can push it to about 15 minutes.

The 9Osprey is full auto rated. The thing is, this is my 45Osprey with the piston changed to a 1/2x28 thread and fixed spacer, and will be used with 9mm. The word on the 40Osprey and 45Osprey shooting their respective calibers is this:

Doing small bursts with the 40 and 45 Osprey is fine. Give me a couple of days and I will make an "official statement" on guidelines to follow with FA use.

Very nice Silencerco. Is it FA rated?

From another board:

The 9Osprey is FA rated to a point. We shot 550 rounds from an mp5 without any issues. However, we have not done any tests more that that. We did 4 30 round mag dumps consecutively then let it cool for 2 minutes and did 4 more mags, so on and so forth until we made it to 550 rounds. It held up great. So I would say we will warranty it for reasonable FA use. I would advise that if you want to do mag dumps, limit them to 30 round mags and let it cool for a little bit in between.

Ill let y'all do the testing. If you have issues, I'll full warranty it until we have a better understanding what it does on all the different sub guns you guys have. Knock yourselves out, You all know I will take care of you!

I guess I should also mention that the 40 and 45 osprey are not FA rated

Another reason I'm a SilencerCo customer. Not only do they make great products, they have darn good customer service and stand behind their products. I really like the way the Osprey is constructed where the mount/encapsulator is the registered part and everything else can be replaced without another stamp.

Shortly after I posted here today, I sent the following web generated email to silencerco:

Josh and crew,
I see that your 90sprey is fa rated, and was wondering if using a 45opsrey with 1/2x28 piston and fixed barrel spacer on a 9mm max-11 would be ok? rof will be 750 rpm, with cooling time between mags of course, no back to back to back mag dumps.

Thanks!

Just got this response, on a saturday before the the biggest tradeshow in the biz as well:

yes you will be fine with that, allowing some cool time.

Thanks
Josh

These are good folks. I wasn't expecting a response over the weekend, but they took the time to do so. Best in the biz in my opinion, and I love the look of it on the Lage=)

Recent from SilencerCo:

The .45 Osprey is not full auto rated with .45 ACP.

As far as the Osprey model goes, the only one you can run full auto is an Osprey 9mm and it must be on a 10" barrel or longer.

You can also run 9mm full auto on a 10" barrel or longer through the .40 and .45 Osprey.
