I had a beautiful amnesty registered Beretta 38A machine gun. I consigned it to Morphy's Auctions. It is a beautiful example with all matching numbers and a cool story how it came into my possession.

Why Morphy's vs. Rock Island or any other similar auction house?

Why not list it on Sturmgewehr.com and avoid all the BS with commissions and taxes?

The Sturm board requires a set sale price. It's not an auction site where the selling price can, and often does, get a better final payout to the seller.

MHO, YMMV, etc. Be well.

Set a sale price that will make you VERY, VERY happy if someone goes for it but post it OBO so you can negotiate via PM or offline via phone, text or e-mail. "It ain't rocket surgery."

OK folks here is the story as told to me by the owner:
Him and his family were waiting when his uncle arrived from war. He looked at his 8 year old nephew, and said he had a surprise for him. Gave him the 38A he picked up on the battlefield. Fast forward to 1968 and the nephew was in his early 30's. He had the foresight to register it. I bought it from the nephew a few years ago. Another dealer was offered the gun but I was the lucky buyer. Have shot it several times. Smooth as silk.

Congrats. Auctions can be a weird environment where some people cannot accept to be beaten. When you get at least two of these personalities together in the same auction it can get very interesting.

Morphys did a GREAT job. They got good money for everything. John Keene is THE GUY if you want to sell guns. Did you see the Spitfire? Last I saw it was up to 8K not counting buyers fee. FOR A SPITFIRE! Apparently, anything is possible when Americans have 2T dollars burning a hole in their pocket!
