Ok, I'm assuming a few of us have more than one firearm in our collections.
If SHTF tomorrow, and you had the opportunity to sell EVERY gun you owned for 5-10x what you'd paid, what's the one gun/rifle you'd never part with.
It can be more than one you wouldn't "want" to part with, but what's the ONE you'd scratch and claw over before letting go?
I'm leaning towards my Colt Target Match Competition Semi auto AR-15. Dad bought it for me decades ago, and I wouldn't dream of selling it.
I'd probably wanna keep my STi 1911, too, since I cannot pocket the AR, but if forced to pick, the STi would go in the fireplace before I'd let the Colt go...

I be keepin' my WWII Marine veteran.

Over the years I have been fortunate to accumulate a nice collection, including machine guns. Oddly enough, my absolute "forever gun is:

My Izhmash Biathlon Basic 7-2KO. For those who have never seen one, it is a toggle bolt .22 rifle. They came into the states quite a few years ago and you could get them for around $300. I've equipped mine with a custom stock extension, a Leupold scope, and a Silencerco Sparrow SS. I've shot cases (yes cases not bricks) of ammo through this gun over the years and I've never tired of it. I have a 22 range off my master bedroom and nothing brings me more pleasure than ringing 100 yd steel over and over. The gun, while heavy, is also no slouch in the field and has taken many rabbits and squirrels.

Here's some old pictures of it sans stock extension and with a Redfield scope. https://imgur.com/a/4ipBf

Semi auto? Pistol? Sbr?

All of the above I guess haha

It's still full auto capable, and the stock and folding grip still work too. Barrel is 6 inches, though I plan on making a longer barrel from a Lothar Walther 9x18 blank in the future so I can run it suppressed :)

A kid in one of my old rifle teams used to have a BI-7-2 in its original configuration when he first started competing. He tried using it for our 50 meter competition but wouldn't hold up as well to the Walthers and Anschutz we used, but still very much accurate for a beginner like him, it was at least better than the old Winchesters and Remingtons in the "borrow" closet. But last I heard he had to sell it because most non-biathlon competitions wouldn't allow him to use it. Shame, but I guess he was due for a new rifle anyways.

Those are nice rifles, you hold onto that! Love the stock and scope you had in the picture too.

Lol, I'll contact my cousin to see if he can take pics when he gets the chance (the guy works a bunch and is almost never home), it's under his name for the time being because CT doesn't allow select fire machine guns, he lives in a much more gun friendly state . I know it kinda contradicts what I said before, but it won't be long until I transfer it over to myself when I move out.

"What is your forever guns"

Well, all of them silly rabbit.

But beyond that, especially heirloom guns. I won't say what they are online though. Too many prying eyes.

But hell or high water, those especially are not going anywhere.
