Vegas-I wasn't dumping on you or anyone else on the travel to matches-got carried in the moment-UT shoot is great, now that I've been to one I am going to make many more. Would like to get more participation for the NC shoot from more uzitalkers-it's always good to get away for a few days and be with like minded individuals-to shoot, bs, put names w/faces. I didn't take it that way at all... just friendly board banter. I agree that's it's a good thing to get together with like minded individuals and pull the trigger... ESPECIALLY all weekend long.BeachinBeemer said:
Good on you for putting this together! I hope you can make it a yearly event and perhaps I can make it there next year. My wife has a son that lives in the Raleigh/Durham area and that would be a great combo trip.
This year just hasn't turned out like I'd hoped. No Indiana State match, I won't be able to make the AZ State match this year, and the best I can hope for is the fall Big Sandy shoot as I regrettably missed the spring Subguns 10th Anniversary shoot.

NEED HELP FAST: My buddy had his 20's returned by the ATF saying the 20's "would not be approved without a letter from the Brunswick County Sheriff approving the visit". I got mine back approved and I know a few others got theirs back approved. Anybody have any idea what's going on? This can't be good.

John C-I contacted the Brunswick county sherriff's dept back in may/june-they seemed fine with it-wanted to know the numbers coming, etc.-I will contact them again tomorrow and find out what's up-will post here as soon as I know. I'll also check on the Sllep Inn Motel-we are about 45 min. travel time to the range from here- of course if anyone is bringing family they could have a good time here and at the beach, if people let me know if family is coming I'll try to get group rate info on activities, will also look at rentals at Carolina Beach/Kure Beach-people could take ferry over to southport and then 10 miles to the range-Cmon ScooterTrash bring Carla to the beach!!Beemer:biker

Jake-I've been following that thread-have called the appropriate people here and they have no problem!! Also called ATF today-they told me they had no problem w/5320.20 for NC either. I know that the gov. has tried to get the leo's to quit signing-so I guess it's on an individual basis-who you know-Beemer.
As far as airport distanc, Myrtle Beach airport is on the south side of Myrtle Beach and is probably 11/2hrs to the range-close to 60 miles, Wilmington is probably 45 miles to the range and about 1 hour or less. FYI-SC is nfa friendly also.

Guys, things are going along very well for the match-John C-the sleep inn is a nice place but I just got a quote from The Red Roof Inn for 39.99/nite w/tax so it's about 45.00 per nite, cont. breakfast, almost nextdoor to the sleep inn. I am going to confirm the rate tomorrow and then post how everyone who wants can get a room. There are plenty of good eateries near it-Hooters, Sticky Fingers, Golden Corral and others. It's right off I-40 c0ming into town. I need to get a definite headcount started to plan on the amount of food to buy, etc. Have talked w/ an ammo supplier who may bring 1000's of rounds of 9mm 115 and 147gr factories (I think S&B)-I'll know more this week. Have just bought more ww115 at wallyworld if anyone needs it-anout 167.00/1000. Need ya to pay in advance and trust me so I can turn around and buy more!!-Beemer:biker
