Good news....bad news.
16 months ago Peter Kokalis said to get an M16 first, then a Vector. He estimated they had 2-3 years supply of new full size SMGs left. I bought the Colt.

After selling a shitload of SA stuff, I am ready to get that $2795 Vector.

Today I have found a NIB Vector. Asking price: $5500.

Now this gun is local, I can start the CLEO today. I could be shooting by Summer.

How bad is this price. Someone said: "You didn't pay too much, you just bought too early."

Is this like buying Enron stock today for $20/share?

TIA -Z06

Well, luckily I got one last year at $2700. Haven't received it yet.

$5500 for one of these seems way way out of the ballpark. I've seen them on subguns.com for $3700. Vector themselves sell the mini for $4900 and that was always at least $1000 more than what the full size one cost.

People are freaking out that Vector is out and paying out of line prices. Shop around. If you have to wait to get one from out of state, ask yourself if $1500 is worth several extra months of waiting.

I hear M16 prices are way up too on account of the Shrike conversion. I heard $9000 minimum for one. So don't feel too bad about what you bought. I'd trade an uzi for an M16 anyday of the week.

You should be able to pick up a full sized Vector in the $3500-$3700 price range fairly easily. Keep watching Sturmgewehr.com.

Thanks all for the good feed back. Checked the one on GunsAmerica: $3595 on a form 3.

Locally, I did stop by to fondle both the full-size ($5500) and the GI/Vector mini ($6500)!!! I didn't actually SEE the crack pipe, but it musta been around there somewhere!

BTW, if there is anyone in ARIZONA that wants to sell me one of their extra full-size Vectors, I'll pay them$4K for it. I'm in the greater Phoenix area.

GunsAmerica Deal...

Hey Z06,
That UZI deal is a good one, I know Dave Spiwak personally and he is a real good guy as well as a fair guy. Don't hesitate to jump on that deal, I don't think that he has any others left.
Good luck,
Mario

I just purchased an Uzi from David Spiwak about a month ago. The deal went smoothly (so far) and he had the best price I came across. Also, he came highly recommended on subguns and arfcom.

The $5500 price for a fullsize is pipe dreams ( no pun intended if his smoking crack). Vector sells them to anyone off the street for $4495 all you have to do is find an SOT in your state to handle the transfer. Or look around on the various NFA Ad boards.
