Do you happen to have any more pics? It looks like your link expired. Try attaching directly here, or you can upload to Imgur and post the link (they usually keep photos hosted indefinitely).

I am #36 and I'm still on the fence between the 10/31k and the old 10/31. I'm going to be using mostly drum mags, so I'm not sure if the 10/31k would be too short to hold around a drum. What do you think?

Yes the short version with drums would be less comfortable. That's why I will use the old one for drums. You can add an attachment to help.
I like using stick mags over drums and use a suppressor.
One thing I've learned over the years is if a new upper comes out get it.
Especially the quality of this upper.

Thanks!! Like you, I was planning to shoot using a suppressor which is why I originally liked the idea of a shortened 10/31. The short length is exactly what I was worried about. What sort of attachment do you think would work best? I was planning to just use a regular vertical foregrip.

I'd love to use stick mags, but I think I got into the game too late. Zmags are gone and coffins are insane. I was able to get a couple of good deals on drums though so I have about 10 or so of those. I also considered doing the old-school route and converting Sten mags, but the conversion tabs are long gone too. I recall one guy used a couple set screws that he filed flat on the sides for the conversion and he said that worked, but that seems a little unreliable.

Also is that a FAL stock? That looks incredible!

Yes a vertical grip would work nice I may add one to the old upper.
I got the mags from lage with the old upper and I have a bunch of south African mags I converted for the 9mm magwel. The adapter that's on in the picture make using mags easy and fast.
Someone on hear was selling them so I got a couple.
I can't remember who I got the stock from but it works great.
The ones on lage sight look good too.
Like I said with Macs if someone is making something get it.

I've put grip pods on all my uppers. They are longer than a standard grip letting you keep your hand lower to clear the drum. The chinese knock offs seem to be working well.
